We stayed in this hotel for 13 nights as part of our 3 week holiday in Sicily, in August. As this was, by far, the most expensive hotel we stayed in during the trip, at 160 euros, per night, B&B, we expected great things! Especially when we read such great reviews on 'Booking.com' and on the internet. We had a relatively small room, overlooking the back of the hotel and the room was a little bit dated, especially the bathroom. The breakfast was the most basic one of all the hotels we stayed in and it was the only place where they didn't offer you a 'Cappuccino' or 'expresso' at your table.. Also, we noted that the main waitress never smiled once during our stay..! Beyond that we also found that the hotel was quite a distance from the centre of Giardini Naxos and as there was no place for parking there we had to go by foot. We had to go quite far in order to find a good beach and many beaches in the area are private so you have to pay - from 15-25 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella!
The worst thing for me was the fact that they did not change our sheets till after the 7th night and only when I insisted on it - which was unbelievable... If it had been every 3-4 days no problem but we think they were only changed twice in all during the 13 nights!
My husband tried to access his work e-mail for an urgent matter from their computer, but wasn't able to access it because their security settings were too high...
We did not use the Spa/beauty centre facilities as we found them to be extremely expensive..
On the plus side the pool is very nice and the barman, who makes fantastic cocktails, was very friendly. The lady at the reception is also very friendly and willing to help with anything you ask.
We generally don't like to complain about hotels, especially as our experience of hotels elsewhere in Sicily was excellent, but we felt we really had to write something about this one.
