Excellent hotel ideal for familys,couples, single travellers! Staff friendly and very helpful, even our cleaner made our stay very comfortable, changing sheets everyday.

The resturant staff were also very polite & friendly, food excellent and good choice on offer., The beach is oposite the hotel and bars,cafe's, are 5mins away. if you want nightlife that is on the doorstep, also a trip to Taormina is a must and you can catch a bus for 2 euros to get there from outside the hotel..

Mount Etna you can see from outside the hotel, for those who would like to vist the volcanoe. Our favorite trip was to see where the Godfather site where the fim was made, with the original bar still there, you can have a cool drink! also see the church where Micheal Coleone married his sweetheart.

I have stayed at this hotel three times and look forward to our next trip in June 2011.

I stayed there for two months this year as a tour leader for the Macedonian tourists and I can only share positive experience and best words for it. Sporting Baia is a very good hotel with unique architecture and pleasantly decorated interior. Its excellent location, situated on the seaside in the town center of lovely Giardini Naxos and its immediate proximity to nice bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops, as well as to the best sandy beach in the area, Lido Naxos Beach, definitely makes an asset. The hotel guests can enjoy this awesome beach which is just across, with a several Euros discount from the normal charge. But this hotel does not only give an admiring view on the sea, its guests as well can enjoy the view on Mount Etna, Taormina and Castelmola. The hotel staff is delightful; they speak several European languages, and are extremely kind and helpful. Further on, the characteristic that particularly stands out is the cleanliness, with rooms being spotlessly cleaned every day, and linen and towels being changed daily. When it comes to the rooms, they are spacious, nicely decorated, air-conditioned, and those with sea view and balcony are particularly beautiful.
What particularly makes this hotel exquisite is the cuisine. The hotel restaurant offers the best Sicilian traditional food for the dinner. Four course Sicilian dinners is served all of it fabulously tasty, and fresh, with possibility to choose some excellent Sicilian wines. There is a nice continental breakfast with boiled or scrambled eggs, breads, ham, salami, cheese, toast, pastries and jams, cereal and fruits. The coffee, teas and fruit juices provided are very pleasant. The hotel bar operates around the clock, and the lovely and spacious terrace overlooking Lido di Naxos and the sea is a great place to enjoy the evenings.
The hotel has also very rewarding spa facilities and fitness room for fair prices. Free parking that cannot be reserved is available around the hotel, and parking on payment (10 euro per day) within couple of minutes walking distance.
This was my second stay at Sporting Baia and whenever I come here I feel like I am visiting dear friends. In this hotel I felt welcomed by everyone, from the restaurant staff and housekeeping, to the front desk and the management. They all put a lot of care into running this hotel and that is quite noticeable. I spent some really beautiful time at Sporting Baia, and I highly without any condition recommend it to everyone coming to Giardini.

Spent 3 nights at the hotel, wouldn't go as far as classifying it as a 4 star but nonetheless have no real complaints apart from the poor inclusive breakfast. 3 nights was just enough for some sun and beach, not much to do apart from that in the area. Had to pay 11 euros for 2 sunbed rentals, would've been nice if this was inclusive with the hotel. Looked like one of the better hotels along the bay, would recommend if staying in the area, however wouldn't advise a long stay here.

Great central location with easy access to the sea and other shops nearby. Hotel has all the facilities you need like gym, indoor pool, airconditioned rooms. Staff is really friendly, helpful and make you feel at home. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious.
