nice location and with excellent beaches (baia own private beach closed !).shame it was let down by :- Hotel staff where very rude and only interested in serving the constant coach partys.!! breakfast ok but evening meals where very poor ,bland and tasteless the worst italian food i have ever had .,good job there was some better ones near by as we ended up eating out most evenings. Rooms where clean and tidy(fridge door hanging off) but very noisy from coaches parking / waiting for day trippers from 5 am every day !! Dont bother going out of season because you will get staff and hotel that tired and run down

The hotel has one of the best situations in the city and the food is good. All the waiters are nice and helpful. Our room and bathroom were large and the view on the sea and Taormina was fabulous particularly at night. A little problem: we coulld hear the noise from the seaside promenade until midnight.

The best proportion price/quality! Friendly & politefull staff! Great location, half of a minute & you're on the beach. The hotel is separated on two parts, which are close to each other. Continental breakfast was very tasty and delicious dinner! If we're go to Sicily again,we'll stay only at Sporting Baia!

We stayed at the peak of the Italian seacon and we were the only Brits, this didn't cause any problems our service was as good as everyone else's. The room although dated, was large and the air conditioning kept it cool. The rooms TV was an old small 14 inch, stuck up high on the wall, and the viewing choice of channels was very limited. The bathroom was a bit tired only a shower, no bath.
The rooms was kept really clean and tidied by the daily cleaner.
The meals were good with a good choice of Italian fare. The wine at the table was also fairly priced.
The location is brilliant right on the sea front and it was great to wonder down the prom in the evenings. There is a private beach called Lido De Naxos, at the front of the hotel, I wouldn't bother with this, it's run like an army camp, with red shirted intimidating security gaurds, contantly patrolling looking for anyone that may be on the wrong sunbed, and they will decide where you sunbath!
