Another leg of our honeymoon, - we were warmly welcomed at the Florida residence and even found a free bottle of the local red wine awaiting us (which was excellent - not plonk!). A large hotel but in a quiet location, we were not aware of the main road nearby, which was a bonus. The superior apartment room was spacious, with a large patio area and lovely pool close by. Built-in well equiped Kitchenette could be useful. Breakfast best we had on honeymoon, superb quality and lovely room or patio option.
Steps down to our room from reception could be a problem for older guests.
Hotel Manager a real gent, even lent me one of his rare books to read.
Service exceptional, staff happy to get any drinks / snacks on demand.
A shame no evening meal option, cooking was so good, but staff gave good recommendations for local restaurants.

We have just returned after a 4 night stay . The hotel and staff are first rate , with a fantastic view of the lake . Breakfast is taken on the large terrace over looking the lake , and there is ample choice of food . The grounds are lovely and the swimming pool looked very inviting .

For us there was only one flaw , and that is the position, in the evenings we like to stroll to restaurants , and there wasnt anything really in strolling distance , it would have been more of a hike , and a walk along a dimly lit , nothing to see, street at that , From our travels around we would have preferred other locations

We stayed in one of the supreior rooms "I Limoni" - you would have to walk a number of steps down from the main hotel facilities, however, the rooms are on the same level as the pool which we highly appreciated. In front of the room you can sit under a pergola from where you can enjoy the lovely view over the lake Garda. The fairly spacious rooms are clean/well maintained, the safe is big enough to store a mid-sized DSLR. We have not used the kitchen facilities hence are not able to judge about these, however, we have appreciated to store some stuff in the fridge. As a "foodie" I was surprised about the variety/quality of food offered at breakfast which exceeded expectations (given the fact that expectations with regards to breakfast in Italy are generally very low...). The buffet included a variety of cheese and charcuterie, fresh tomatoes and olives, a selection of fruit juices, cheese&ham omelettes, breads and jams. What I particularly liked was the daily "fruit juice suprise" which ranged from melon, kiwi, strawberry, raspberry, banana, apple... and mixes thereof. Fairly delicious!
The pool area is very well maintained and the pool is a REAL pool - roughly 29 long and 5-6m wide and up to 2.4m deep...

The receptionists are very friendly and helpful and are able to give a wide range of tips with regards to activities around lake Garda / the region. Furthermore, I highly recommend to follow the restaurant-tips provided by Hotel Florida - superb!! (See further reviews from myself).

Overall, my fiancee and myself have really enjoyed to stay a the Residence Hotel Florida and I am pretty sure that we will be heading back when visiting the lake Garda region again.

My family stayed at this lovely hotel in June for four nights. We have been talking about it ever since. The hotel is beautiful and clean to perfection. The rooms have breath taking views of lake Garda the most beautiful lake in Italy. We have lived in Italy for 11 years now and this hotel is our new favorite place. One of the nicest things about the hotel is the service. This is a family owned hotel and it shows! Everyone there was polite and so helpful. The location, pool, beautiful rooms and kindness will bring us back again and again! We cannot wait to return to our home away from home!
