So glad I booked this hotel , about a minute's walk to the Lake , what a great position , handy for all local amenities.

The Management and staff could have not been more helpful or friendly, nothing was a problem,

Rooms large, ensuite and very very clean , (look out for cleaning staff, they always give you a great big smile.

Large choice of European breakfast buffet and a lovely complimentary tea and fresh made cake served late afternoon.

All in all a great hotel,

Room Tip: Recommend balcony rooms facing Lake,

“Lovely hotel, friendly staff, good location, very clean”

We stayed at Hotel Terminus mid-September and loved every minute! The staff were friendly, the hotel is old but very very clean, breakfasts were superb!! The choice was amazing, easily the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had!! We love these older hotels with more character than the modern bland ones especially if they are situated in a working town as Terminus is!! The church bells just added to the effect, after all if you go to Italy and don't expect to hear church bells why are you there?? The location was excellent being at the end of the promenade and just steps from the lake. We walked along to Bardolino and back almost every day! With a few refreshment stops of course!! We will definitely recommend this hotel and will be back funds permitting!!

“Very nice hotel, ruined by traffic noise !”

I stayed at this hotel at the end of August, due to my original hotel in Garda being overbooked as advised by 'Inghams'. The actual hotel was good; very clean, staff helpful and friendly, airy room with a ceiling fan as no air-con, mine was a single which was not at all small with a partial lake view which was lovely. Ample breakfast, there was also complimentary tea and cakes every afternoon on the terrace.

The hotel has the lake road behind it and the promenade in front of it with a road which connects the two. The temperatures were in the mid 30's everyday and the evenings still remained hot. The ceiling fan was helpful but there is nothing like fresh air. The only problem being the noise from the roads, even with the window shut, surrounding the hotel. It just wasn't ideal for a relaxing few nights by the lake. The brochure does advise that customers with rooms without a lake view may experience some traffic noise, well mine had a lake view !

Would go back to this hotel if it was located in a more peaceful area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a full lake view it may be quieter

“Great location and nice hotel”

I agree with the previous reviewer (tireelocal who we actually spent some time with and a lovely couple so hi to you!) in that the owners could have been friendlier and were quite offhand, but in saying that, it seems to be the Italian way. Over the week we were there I think we wore the male owner down to the point where he actually did begin to acknowledge us! We found the hotel to be comfortable, clean and more than adequate for our stay. We have been to Italy before so knew not to expect anything grand from Italian hotels....unless of course you want to spend lots of money for it. The breakfast each morning was excellent with plenty of choice. Yes the road is a bit noisy and yes the bells toll at 7am each morning but I can say that you definitely get used to it and didn't bother us at all. The hotel is situated at the quieter end of Garda which is good as was very busy with tourists in the more central areas. No matter where you are in Garda you are never far away from the lovely liitle narrow streets for some shopping or to have a little refreshment or 2. Also the ferry is only a 5 min walk. We hired bikes and cycled through to Bardolino which was a nice and is very flat so suitable for most abilities. There are lots of lovely places to visit and the ferries are very prompt although don't always run at the times that you'd like them. There is a huge market which travels through Lake Garda so if you like to browse then you will be able to catch up with it at some point. We would recommend that for eating you don't eat at the lakeside restaurants and go further back into the lovely little streets. Food is better and not catered just for tourists. Also you must try an Aperol Spritz which is the local aperatif. Very addictive - so much so we brought a bottle home to continue the experience! If you have booked Hotel Terminus we are sure you will have a great time as long as you don't expect the red carpet treatment from the management. Enjoy!!!!

“A little Gem”

We have just returned from this hotel and having stayed in four different hotels over the last four years I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels in Garda. We were on honeymoon and the hotel had a bottle of chilled sparkling with a congratulation note in our room on arrival. Location is excellent. Our room had a kingsize bed it was clean, bright and airy with a massive balcony, the room had a ceiling fan and a safe. We found the sun terrace very peaceful, with comfortable beds overlooking the amazing views lake. The communal areas were clean and comfortable, with very neat tidy gardens. Breakfast was very good which could be eating inside or out, all the crockery, bedding and towels looked brand new.

We stayed on a B&B basis which is advisable as there are so many restaurants to choose. We would strongly recommend the restaurant “A Boccaccio” which is opposite the hotel next to the church, or for a cheaper option “Casa Lady” which is on the lakeside. If you have the nerve we recommend you hire a speedboat and tour the lake yourself.

We will be going back to Garda next year for and will definitely be staying at the Hotel Terminus
