We have spent many family vacations in Il Negresco and are pleased to see it improve consistently over time.
The service is peronalised and friendly making us feel welcome.
The restaurant offers excellent meals served in a traditional style dining room .
The proximty to the beach just across the street and the view of the sea make this stay even more enjoyable , convenient and relaxing.
A real treat and Italian art of living .

We were expecting beautiful views of sea, but our room overlooked a carpark and construction site instead. The room was also smaller than we expected but was spotlessly clean.

The hotel was about a kilometre away from the centre of town. Be warned - taxis are few and far between in Forte dei Marmi and very expensive. It cost 20 euro for trip from station to the hotel. I would advise pre-booking before your arrival. Bikes can be hired for 7 euro a day from the hotel. We weren't warned that access to the beach was not included and that all the beaches in area are private costing between 60-150 euro a day to access.

If you are happy to pay extortionate prices to lie on beach or want to shop in designer stores then this hotel is perfect. Unfortunately we were bored after a couple of days. We ended up paying a fortune in taxi fares to the station to day trip elsewhere.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful.

I spent 3 nights at this hotel while on business. The staff were friendly and helpful,and I really liked being in a small hotel (3 floors). I did not notice an elevator and this could pose a problem for those travellers who cannot manage the stairs.
The rooms are furnished in a simple and elegant style, timber parquet flooring, classic style marble bathrooms and the bed was very, very comfortable. I especially enjoyed that I could open the patio door to allow in fresh air. I chose a room facing away from the ocean as I wanted to sleep with the door open and not have the noise of passing traffic (limited as it is).
The hotel has a beautiful pool and is located across the road from the beach - neither of which I used due to the cold November weather.
Close by to the hotel is the high fashion area Forte Di Marmi and in the other direction the town of Carrara.
Included in the room rate was the breakfast - Italian style (coffee, pastries, cheese, toast etc).
I lookforward to my next visit to this hotel.
