I stayed at this hotel for a week with Leger hoildays and would highlt recommend it. Fuiggi is a lovley, quiet town (a trip up to the old city is well worth it) and this hotel is located in the town centre but it is not noisy. Rooms were clean & comforatable, staff were freindly and helpful. I traveled alone and was pleasantly surprised to find I had a room with a balcony (most single travellers willl know that we're usually stuck up the end of the hall next to the generator!). Breakfast is the usual continental affair, the evening meal is nice, but not much good if, like me, you're vegetarian. I only had the evening meal once though as there are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity. The hotel also has a pleasant garden at the front to sit & relax in. Fuiggi is a freindly town with plenty of little shops & places to eat & drink.

Travelled with large Ledgers Travel party and used this Hotel for 6 nights. There were 2 coach loads of travellers with ledger (80 people) plus other parties, but the hotel had no problems looking after us all.The bar did a roaring trade with very helpful service. The serving staff at meal times were very pleasent and spoke a little English, so no problems where had by anybody. The food was very good, 20 Euros for a 4 course evening meal, and though I can eat, I had more that enough to eat. The menu was different each of the 5 nights that I ate there. Our party was often late back for meals due to hold ups, but the Hotel quickly changed eating times and the food was always hot and fresh.

Breakfest was a continental breakfast, with choice of 2 breads, cheese, ham, jams, cerials and buns, which were all edable as I tried everything with as much coffee and tea as you wanted.

The Hotel was very clean and warm and the bedroom was just enough for our stay, with a safe and a small fridge to keep your bottled water in.

If this is the norm, then you can ignor all the previous bad reports about this Hotel.

I also found the local shopkeepers, bars and tourist information office most helpful, even the local bus drivers were a pleasure to deal with.

I was a little apprehensive about this hotel after reading some of the other reviews, however there was absolutely no need to be.
From the first minute to the last of our stay the staff were friendly, helpful and willing to chat. The room was immaculate and very comfortable.
Breakfast was the normal continental fayre of ham, cheese, various bread, yoghurt and cereals which you helped yourself to as much as you liked.Other members of our touring party also had an evening meal in the hotel restaurant and said it was very good.
There was never a problem of getting a drink, just let reception know and the bar is staffed immediately.
Fiuggi itself is a very pleasant town with a beautiful park and plenty of shops. It is a vibrant place in the evening with pizzerias, restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours.

I was rather worried when I first read the other reviews on this site, and I also travelled with Ledger holidays. After a 28 hour coach journey the hotel was a pleasant surprise the room was clean and well furnished with a safety deposit box and a fridge.

There is a TV which has Italian channels (well you are in Italy) and 2 English channels (CNN and Eurosport) which sometimes had bad reception, but we didn't go to Italy to watch TV.

The Hotel owner offers a reasonable evening meal for 20 euros and the staff can seem stand offish but if you bother to learn a little Italian they are quite friendly and helpful. We only ate there one night but found it much cheaper and more enjoyable to try the nearby pizzerias and cafes.

The breakfasts are cold with breads, cake, pastries, cornflakes and yoghurts, the sort of thing you that mainland Europe eats. The bread was hard but it is cut from Ciabatta and made with Olive oil and was very nice.

The Bar does not have bar staff and if you want a drink you just ask the receptionist who will serve you your drinks.

I found all the staff very helpful the only downside is that they don't have facilities to cash euro traveller’s cheques, which is frustrating. When you do find a bank that does they charge an extortionate handling fee, so it’s much cheaper to use a hole in the wall.
.
However all in all a very nice place to stay.
