Hotel Nettuno is not a place where you would wish to linger. The first room we were allocated, allegedly a no-smoking room, smelled badly of smoke and cigarette ends were strewn acorss the balcony. In the room we moved to things got off to a bad start on finding a large black hair on the pillow, the carpet was stained, the shower was grotty and the air conditioning did not work - which is no joke when the temperature outside is 38 degrees. The hotel is located in an out of town shoppiing area/business park, a rather bleak area where the recyling bins are emptied at midnight. The staff were friendly though and were happy to oblige when we wanted to change room, but they have their work cut out for them in trying to provide a good service in a hotel in dire need of a refurb.
