The guest house is absolutley amazing and the staff is even better. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you are home. Super clean, very homely apartments that walking distance to lots of restaurants, train station, and lots of sights and wonderful Ferrara. You are making a mistake if you go to Ferrara and stay anywhere else.

We stayed here based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, and so glad we chose this compared to a hotel. This has to be one of the best B&B/self catering places we have ever stayed. The owners (and their parents) are fantastic hosts and the breakfasts are great. They help out whenever needed (but are never intrusive), and even make the kids laugh at breakfast. The breakfast spread is superb, with excellent homemade cakes. They provided a cot for a young child, which is very helpful so you don't need to carry one with you.

The decor of our rooms were mixed style, but excellent high quality. The bedrooms were period style, with a modern style kitchen with lots of storage space with pots and pans etc.

Location is very good. Although on the outskirts of the old city, it is very easy to walk into town / cathedral / etc.

I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this place to others wanting decent family accommodation, who do not want the constraints of a hotel room, but do want high quality accommodation and the ability to cook for themselves and have a separate room so the kids can sleep while adults are in the other rooms.

We stayed in the spacious loft room. Great location, best breakfasts we had in Italy! Clean and very comfortable. Ruggerio was extremely helpful in ensuring we enjoyed our stay there. He gave excellent recommendations for restaurants in Ferrara, including discounts. Piazza Nova is a great value in a unique city.

I loved staying at Piazza Nova. My room had lovely old furniture and was warm and spacious with lots of natural light. I thought it was decorated very tastefully. The kitchen was new and well equipped. Ruggero and Emmanuela were so kind and welcoming, They let me speak in my broken Italian, recommended restaurants, and took me to and from the train station. I am a student, and it was very easy to work in the quiet of the hotel.

Breakfasts were lovely, with at least 6 different fresh, local pastries, fruit and yogurt. I felt very well taken care of. They even made cappucinos and espresso for me. The cleaning woman was very thoughtful and efficient.

I hope to go back one day!!!!
