Hotel Annunziata is the ideal home-away-from home. We felt welcome and cared for from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless with fresh and clean linens, comfortable beds, roomy bathrooms that seem very recently updated, quiet, and completely modern. The location is ideal, directly across from the castle, centrally located to explore the wonderfully un-touristy city of Ferrara. Ask for a room overlooking the castle, enjoy the breakfast the hotel offers, and make sure to request the cappuccino each morning, it will be made especially for you, the perfect way to start each day! Bravo to the Hotel Annunziata.

The hotel was clean, in an ideal location, and the breakfast was great - especially the cappuccini. I will only ever stay here when I travel to Ferrara. If possible, I would ask for a room facing Castelo Estense...it's breathtaking.

I chose this hotel because of the rave reviews about the breakfast and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The breakfast was fabulous and one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had (and I have had many!). The hotel is located right by the Palazzo Ducale and the Cathedral. The shops, bars and restaurants are only a few steps away in a lovely pedestrianised area. It was wonderful to be able to continually pop back to the hotel during our shopping trips and sightseeing. The only draw backs were a fairly small room which in January was far too hot. We did not sleep well on the first night (Saturday) as it was very noisy outside, (we were at the back of the hotel) so we kept the window shut and were far too hot. We slept much better on Sunday night as we had turned the heating off for the whole day and night and it was much quieter with the window open. The noise I suppose is inevitable on a Saturday night in such a central location. It is also very difficult to find your way to the hotel by car as it is in a restricted traffic area, but we managed it eventually. However, I would most definitely stay at this hotel again. The breakfast and location were worth the other small drawbacks and Ferrara is a charming city.

Hotel Annunziata is in a wonderful location in the very heart of Ferrara, just in front of the Castle.
The hotel is located in a historical building but the interior is modern and confortable. The staff is professional and friendly, the room was large and the shower very relaxing.
All in all hotel Annunziata is just excellent, that's it.
