Stayed for one night. Found our way with a GPS but no need to have one as Hotel was very well signed once you get to Erice. Parked right outside Hotel (parking is free outside hotel). The only complaint we would have is that the rooms are not airconditioned, so got very warm during the night, wanted to keep the windows open, but a noisy wedding reception was going on not far away from Hotel. Everything is in walking distance.

My husband, 19 year old daughter and I went to Erice for 5 days and stayed at Hotel Villa San Giovanni. We were very satisfied with the services provided. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. We rented a car and it was possible to park next to the hotel, which was very convenient for us. We had a triple room and 2 balconies, wow, the view was fantastic. For 2 nights, we were the only people staying at this hotel, but we were very surprised in the morning when we saw the breakfast table laid out with croissants, jam, nutella, biscuits, bread, butter, yoghurt, tea, coffee, juice etc. They had prepared everything for the 3 of us. Every day, our room was cleaned, the bed sheets were spotless, and we had thick white towels.
It is also in a very central position, just 5 minutes away from the centre.
I hope to go back to Erice and I will definitely stay at Hotel Villa San Giovanni.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel only for 1 night, we decided to come here because it was recommended by Lonely Planet and we were not dissapointed. This town is one of the coolest places in Sicily, it's a medieval city at the top of a mountain so it's hard to find better deals than this hotel.
The BEST: it's amazing the view from the room's balcony. Abundant Breakfast.
The WORST: Nothing to say.

We stayed here for one night in October 2008. This is a bit out of the tourist season in this part of Italy and we were one of the few guests in this quite large hotel. We never actually saw any other guest which was a bit of a 'shining' experience...

It is not a high end hotel and the room was basic but pleasant and clean. The bathroom was also functional and clean. Breakfast was a standard Italian affair but it was nice to see that they set some tables and made a small buffet even though there really were very very few guests.

The best feature is the view. See the picture of the view from our balcony... wow!

It is only a few minutes (max 5) from the centre and you can park right in front of the hotel.
