La Pineta is a unique and worthwhile hotel to consider if staying in Erice. Well priced, plenty of space, clean, with private individual "cabins". While it was cold during our stay, the in-room heater worked fine to keep things cozy. Lufthansa had lost our luggage in Milan and Annamaria at the front desk was unbelievably helpful, making numerous phone calls and doing her best to make sense for us of a very confusing situation. Nice to be in Erice in the morning and evening when the tour groups were gone.

An excellent location for a peacful, short holiday. Reception staff very efficient and friendly, however restaurant staff seemed untrained. Breakfast was poor. We had to ask for cheese, ham and fresh bread every day. Stale, small pieces of bread were offered and the fresh bite size baquettes had to be asked for and we had to wait for more than 30 minutes to get one each!! Some breakfast items seemed to be leftovers from the previous day's items offered at the restaurant.
Restaurant food was very good and good value for money especially the set menu.
Rooms were comfortable and warm, however the water heater made a noise all night long!

We stayed here for one night (and wish we had stayed two - see our negative review of Hotel Eldielweiss!). The location is easily accessed (which is no small feat in Erice!) and well kept. The rooms were chilly during a cold snap, we never did warm up, but otherwise everything was PERFECTO. Terry & Ann - San Diego

We stayed there for 1 night. The hotel would seem better being a summer resort. The hot water in the shower is hot, however, when the second person in the room took her turn for shower, the water turned ice cold. We have to wait another 15 minutes before the water heat up again. The breakfast is excellent and the service is good. The room seems a little run down and need refurbiushings. There is a private balcony for the room with a nice view. There is a sitting area in the hotel but it seems they don't want people sitting over there, as the reception said they are cleaning the restaurant which is actually beside the sitting area. Parking is free inside the hotel compound.
