My husband and I just returned from a ski trip here. We went knowing nothing about the hotel, trusting the recommendation of Alpine Adventures, the tour packager we used. Here's what we found:
The rooms are small but cozy, with hardwood floors and knotty pine
furniture. They are extremely clean.
There is a TV, but no English speaking channels with the exception of a
British sports channel that showed mostly billiards games and boxing.
The bathroom had an enclosed standup shower with good water pressure
and hot water.
The breakfast each morning had an ample assortment of homemade granola
cereals, homemade pastries, rolls, meats, coffee and juices, although
with limited variety we were pretty sick of it by the end of the week!
Staff is slow to clean up breakfast plates of other guests - meaning you
may have to sit at a dirty uncleared table for breakfast.
The hotel is in a great location in the middle of the corso italia, and
very close to the shuttle bus stop for the mountains.
The staff was cordial but seemed a bit unapproachable. We did not get
any help making dinner reservations or arranging our skiing each day.
The only written traveler information available was in german. The hotel
does not seem to get many english speaking guests.
In the building there is also a charming cafe operated by the same
family, which is a good place to grab a bite and coffee in the afternoon.
The rooms have no safe, and the walls are a bit thin.
