a pretty little hotel and we had 2 connected rooms that were reasonably spacious.
The beds were very hard and the pillows insubstantial, not a good combination for a good nights sleep.
The location is fine for the cortina nightlife, but bad for the skibus to the slopes.
The staff were generally friendly but did the minimum. Lilltle help on preparing for the holiday with getting to Cortina, ski school etc.
The experience was very marred by their failure to explain their lift pass promotion that cost me 100 euros. After calling me a liar in front of my family they then refunded 40 euros.
Perhaps the comical highlight was when we left they gave my 10 year old son a shaving kit?!

“Charming hotel in the Dolomites.”
Charming hotel with friendly service in the middle of the Dolomites. Rooms a bit on the small side but very comfortable with lots of rustic mountain touches.Very nice breakfast buffet. Good location in the middle of Cortina, thus excellent departure point for dailiy hikes in the Dolomites.
- Liked — Mountain chalet style and general ambiance.
- Disliked — Rooms (especially the bathroom) a bit on the small side.

“Great location”
We stayed 1 night at the Ambra Hotel and enjoyed it very much. We had a nice room, though small, it was well appointed and very clean and comfortable with a small balcony as well. The breakfast (which is included in the room rate) was excellent - our favorite selection of breads, cheeses, fruits, etc in all of Italy (so far). The staff was very nice and helpful. Great location, in walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. We will return to this hotel again.
