From the moment we arrived at the foot of the driveway we were in awe of the wonder that is L'Andana. The reception staff were hugely knowledgeable about the region and the restaurant staff were equally helpful and able to recommend fantastic combinations of food and drink. The rooms were vast, complimentary toiletries lovely and views across the vineyards and olive groves exquisite. We were even given the keys to a golf buggy on which to explore the grounds! The food was fantastic - the only buffet we saw was at breakfast and it was scrumptious. A truly indulgent week!

STRUCTURE: retreat for the senses in the Maremma, the villa contains almost everything, atmosphere, luxury, elegance, kindness, warmth, and above all want to go back. Free Parking.
LOBBYING: a large fireplace dominates the reception area, tastefully decorated in soft colors, large windows and a good perfume environment.
ROOMS: simply divine, spacious, each with its own view of the countryside circostamte, the bathroom in mosaic with tub and shower, double sinks, panoramic window in the bathroom. Mattress very hard and uncomfortable in my opinion.
RESTAURANT: both restaurants are in the atmosphere, reflect the warmth of the Maremma, cooking very very heavy.
SWIMMING: three swimming pools, all very nice and quiet, clean, slow service at the pool.
PERSONAL: very polite, professional, encouraged to do more.
What I liked most: the old part of the building, the reception, the spa, the surrounding countryside
What I like least: the mattress is too hard
OVERALL: an oasis of peace

We love vineyards and L'andana is surrounded by them, as well as by its beautiful gardens, so that was great for us! We came here after a stay at Castello di Vicarello and whilst being very very different, it is a beautiful property and very relaxing. Lovely outdoor pool and spa and generally a nice place to chill out and feel pampered. Staff are lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and they were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in a prestige suite. Fab room. Very large, 2 bathrooms, beautifully furnished. Sunset views were unbelievable! It was expensive though so thankfully we were upgraded ... which was brilliant! The food probably wasn't what I was expecting ... I think I expected a bit more really. That said, some of the dishes were gorgeous ... in particular the squid and I've never had lovelier Tuscan Beans!! :) I did expect the dinner menu to change every night, but it was the same for each of the three nights we were there which was surprising. However, that didn't detract from our overall enjoyment (there was enough choice) and we would definitely go back if we were looking to relax in beautiful surroundings. We could have happily stayed longer!
