My husband and I spent two September nights at this hotel, which opened about a month before our visit. We stayed on the 4th (top) floor in a standard double room. It had pleasant furnishings with a soothing color scheme except for a large, vibrant red and gold seascape painting above the comfortable, queen-size bed. The large closet held ample hangers, plenty of shelf space and a safe. The air conditioning worked extremely well, which was much appreciated with the high outside temperatures.
The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower, complete with a rainshower head. The counter that held the sink had little space for toiletries. A balcony off the bedroom offered two comfortable chairs and a table. The view, however, consisted mainly of nearby buildings.
Though the flat-screen TV had myriad channels, none featured English. Management told us the hotel had applied for English channels and was waiting for permission to add them. Free wi-fi is available, along with a computer off the lobby that is also free for guests.
The continental breakfast, included in our room rate, was substantial. There were cereals, breads, cakes, fruit juices, yogurt, ham, cheese, coffee and tea.
The location is excellent. It takes about five minutes to walk to the beach and about 15 minutes to reach the historic old town. A free, secure parking lot for guests is three blocks away.
Each staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any requests.
