We have just returned from rimini staying at the Acropolis for 7 nights. This is a three star hotel, but is more like a two star.
But it comes down to what you want,if you want to stay in your hotel most of the time go to a 4-5 star hotel. If you want a hotel to use as a place to shower and sleep then this hotel is great and is in a perfect location..
Its a 2 minute walk to the beach, which is excellent.Newsagent and beach shop across the road, chemist and arcade for the kids around the corner, with a cheap supermarket 10 minute walk away.Center of town, where all the action is,is less than 10 minutes away, lovely stroll by the beach front.Shops are great and are good value for money, but stay out of the designer shops unless you are loaded.
We were on half board, the breakfast was great, ham, cheese, meats, cereals, cakes, coissants, jams, rolls, different types of bread, tea, coffee and two types of juices. You have to remember that this is italy and its a continental breakfast, don't expect, toast and a full english.
We had the evening meal, which is a three course meal, and don't forget that the meals are not what you expect over here,so be prepared to try these things. We would go for bread and breakfast next year so we can try the resturants in the evening. We were a party of seven, three were teenagers, one 11 and an infant. They found some of the dishes difficult as it was food they have never tried before, but on the whole the food was excellent.
This hotel was good value for money, fantastic people who run the hotel, very helpful and most speak english.
The hotel and cattolica itself is great,so much we are booking up to go back next year.If you are a family on a budget, then this hotel is worth looking at.
