We stayed at the Luxor Beach for 12 nights at the end of August. We were in the area primarily for the MotoGP event at the nearby Misano circuit and thought we could have a holiday at the same time. I read some good reviews and booked it with my fingers crossed.
We got there on a Saturday afternoon and were a little surprised by the size of the room. It was not the biggest by any means, but it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. For all the time you spend in your room on holiday it was completely fine, and had a small fridge which was handy for keeping drinks cool.
The standard of the food is really high, though the choices can be a bit limited if you don't like fish or veal. I'm not a fan of either so I had pasta in tomato sauce a few nights. You get a menu on your table for the next night so you have to pick from 3 or 4 starters and 3 main courses. There is an excellent vegetable buffet and a fantastic pudding buffet.
Thierry, the Maitre D is extremely accomodating and very friendly, as are all the waiting staff. We had Lara who was very friendly and a bit ditsy but she did everything with a smile.
All in all the staff could not have been friendlier. If you're looking for a good quality hotel with spotless rooms, (towel changes every day if you want and sheet changes every other day), and friendly staff for an affordable price look no further. We will definitely be going back.

Mario and his wife Loretta along with Erik the hotel manager will ensure your stay will be the best that the hotel and the rest of the hotel team can provide for you and your family during your stay.
The hotel as usual was of an excellent standard. With the food being of an outstanding quality as always, beautiful traditional Italian cuisine served by friendly pleasant waiters. Loretta makes the dessert cakes herself.....so don't even think of dieting when here because believe me they are fantastic!!!!!
The beautiful beach of Cattolica gave us sunshine to relax in, On the beach itself their are so many different attractions to chose from both on the beach and in the water our days were filled....100% relaxaition.
During our two week stay, so many guests / friends from previous years were there. Like ourselves they rebook the Luxor Beach for their holiday knowing that their money will be well spent on such an enjoyable, fantastic holiday.

After not sleeping (to noisy) for 2 nights we fled from Rimini. Drove
to Cattolica and searched for a hotel, we rejected 5 either to small,
to dark, to miserable, to old fashioned, to uncomfortable....and then
we found the Luxor.

Friendly helpful receoption, lovely room overlooking beach and sea. OK the bathroom was didy but you don't spend long in there. Breakfast
was very good and service was excellant. Lovely head waiter come chef, he made us feel very welcome. Pool at the front parking underground, and they even let me use the internet in the back office. Well doen Luxor a small hotel that cares for it's guests.

I travelled with my wife to check out Cattolica for summer 07. We spent three nights at the hotel.

We chose this hotel on the strength of reviews on this site. We found the hotel to be excellent. It's clean, well kept and Mario and his team went out of their way in terms of service and friendliness.

Food was absolutely superb, plenty of it and well presented.
We liked it so much that we'll be back next year with the children.
