Cattolica is I think the BEST place for families on the Adriatic Riviera, it has an excellent tourism infrastructure, is very clean, friendly and close to everything in RIccione and Rimini as well as Urbino, Pesaro, San Marino , Gradara etc.. I chose this hotel and Cattolica because I was traveling with my 10 and 11 year old and wanted a place that
was comfortable, with a Pool, on the beach ,and family oriented. Hotel Luxor is all this and more. Clean, modern, bright with an excellent restaurant and superb first class service-from Valentina, Erik, and Gloria at the front desk to Maitre 'd Giuseppe and his staff in the restaurant (Lara, Antonio and Lorenzo) . We were made to feel at home and my children loved the service and attention they received from everyone. It was like of the old Grand hotels and my children enjoyed this taste of the old world. The Romagna is noted for its good food , hospitality, and openness and Hotel Luxor delivers that. I recall one lovely afternoon chatting with the Owner and two guest on issues covering morality and culture over Limoncello. The beach is crowded as is the town- but then this is an Italian resort and that's what makes it so special. The rooms were small but very clean , comfortable, and with a good size Balcony and the air con worked very well (not that you will always need it as the sea breezes cool things down). The pool was clean , refreshing and adequate size. While the food was excellent, Cattolica also has great restaurants so you may want to skip an occasional meal- try Pirata down the street. Also Lorenzo is a keen adviser on wines so do take his advice.

My partner and I have recently returned from a week's stay at the family run Luxor Beach Hotel. We had a lovely room with sea view. The room was spotless and cleaned every
day. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The bus tickets for our trip to San Marino were orderd by the hotel and deliverd to the front desk in good time for our trip. The meals were varied and good.
Cattolica is a family resort with lots of of things to do for children and adults. The town has many good shops, restarants and bars with excelent live music catering for all tastes. And for the bargain hunters the Saturday open air market is a must.

I went to the Luxor Beach Hotel with my partner and two friends. From the start the hotel was very accommodating. We arrived four hours later than we had said and they had a meal waiting for us. From then on the friendliness of the staff was second to none. The hotel is well situated and you are also right on the beach. However the pool is a calm oasis if you want to relax with a book. The food was plentiful and varied and our rooms were very clean, comfortable with a fridge, safe and bathroom toiletries and even a hair drier. We would definitely not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will certainly be going back there again.

We gave just returned home after one week at the Hotel Luxor. We had a lovely room with a sea view. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. Mario and his staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my check in for the flight home and they allowed me to use their office computer to sort it out. The meals were good and it was a pleasure to be served by Simone and Antonio. Both were very pleasant and hard working. Cattolica is a nice resort with plenty for the children to do. We enjoyed trips to Gradara Castle and San Marino. We will certainly go back to the Hotel Luxor one day.
