“grown up here on holiday, in the veniza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

well as the owners are friends of my folks as so many frequnt visit from my childhood upwards, and now ith my daughter too, i have to say that this family run hotel is one of the best in the area, i made the mistake once of stayin in the senior as i couldnt get into the veniza and believe me it was a mistake, the food is excellent here and it is a small family run hotel with the grand parents running the hotels and then the parents and even the grand children working the restuarant and the bar area, nothing is too big PROBLEM and i have been back a few times on short trips, eg the gp up the road in misiano too, both Rosa and her husband make u feel so welcome, but the only down side is that i can say is that they have tried to be more accomodtaing for the few brits that do come here and provide more english or british type of food, as when i was a child chips ere not on the menu, and too me this is a downfall, as it has always ben one hundred percent italian, please go back to basics, the number of brits in this hotel is very few and far between anyway as only one flight here once a week to rimini from manchester, it is the excellent get away from it all and u wont find no english breakfasts in this resort, but then that is what i love about the place, like a second home, if that aint you then dont come, blackppol with the sun it aint and if that is what ur after go to spain! lol great and many thans to rosa, kevin and marriann for a many a yr pleasantries contiune the good work xx ciao bella donna, gwyn, fay and emily xxxx xxx

the hotel is very basic not at all a 3 star not even a 1, the room we were allocated was on the small side and the pillows are like flagstones, the standard of cleaning is poor as the mirror was never cleaned and the floor dusty, there is no coffee making facilities in the room, for the TV and air conditioning at additional cost. The food is basic, repetative and bland although the soup is very good, the bread stays out from breakfast and served at dinner ( very hard) when we asked the hotel owner for fresh bread their reply was they were fresh this morning, you have to pay for the table water and coffee at dinner even if you are half board. noise at night stops around 2am and then starts again with the rubbish collection around 5 am collecting bottles. just 1 last point the beach is more like 250 meters away and not 80 as stated in the sunset brochure and will cost you for use of the sun beds we were charged 33 euros for 2 beds for 2 days. most of the staff are friendly unless you complain.

“clean,friendly and well run”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2009

family run english/italian owners(.Rossi fans so can't be bad). The food is very good with a limited pre-select menu. The downsides which are minor are the extra charges for tv,air con which are in the room( in todays climate should be included). The biggest concern would be don't visit in high season the noise is well!! noisy both in and out.The hotel is spotless and nothing is to much trouble

“Great holiday, hotel and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2009

We had two lovely weeks at the hotel which is located on the main shopping street in the heart of the town. It's family run and all staff were very friendly and happy to help and advise. The food was plentiful and freshly prepared each day and wine was fairly priced. Rooms, though fairly basic, were comfortable with good showers and a lift to all floors. The beach is clean and just a few minutes' walk away. The train and bus stations are a 15 minute walk with easy connections to many towns and cities. There are many loyal visitors who return year after year and it's easy to understand why.

“Basic hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2009

We stayed in this hotel for a week. First nights it was bit of a challenge to get some sleep as we hadn’t yet gotten used to the noise coming from the street and stairway. For us, the best thing about the hotel was the location: there are small shops, many restaurants and beach just few steps away. And Cattolica itself is of course good place to make daytrips to places like Venice, Florence etc.

Overall hotel was pretty basic when it comes to rooms, breakfast and service.
