This self catering apartment is wonderfully located right in the heart of Chianti wine region. It is very easy to access wine farms, restaurants and villages.
The apartment itself was very nicely furnished and comfortable. However we are self-diagnosed bed psychos and the middle of the road Ikea mattress was not up to scratch.
The bathroom was well appointed but the shower was old and unadjustable and very small. The outbuildings and swimming pool were lovely. If it wasn't for the shower and mattress, we would have rated it a 5/5.

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay here for 3 nights during our honeymoon trip in Italy. We drove up from Rome, which took longer than we thought however we printed out the directions and found them easily. The staff were accomodating and friendly, and the accomodation was of a really high quality, really rustic and beautiful - we wished we had stayed for more than 3 nights! Our apartment was spacious with a lovely living area, and outdoor seating area. After sightseeing everyday we enjoyed relaxing outside in our private garden area and shared our wine and antipasti with a local resident - a baby fox! The views and scenery we enjoyed staying here were outstanding. We would definately stay here again.

The rooms at the Borgo di Pietrafitta are really charming, and every member of the staff that we encountered was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. The location is phenomenal, right in the heart of Chianti! Perfect for wine tours and trips into the surrounding Tuscan hilltowns. Anyone traveling to this region must stay at the Borgo di Pietrafitta! We loved it, and we'll be back!!

Borgo di Pietrafitta is a wonderful place to experience Tuscany. We've stayed there two years in a row and will back for many more stays. The scenery, beautifully kept grounds, and wonderfully helpful staff--especially Cinzia--always make our stays exceptional. The apartments have the charm of old world Italy with many modern amenities. Simply put: this place is exceptional!!!
