We were here for a week with our one year old baby last winter.
We got a double room with a cot, it was big, clean, it had very nice views, and the food was excellent. The staff was nice, so, in general, we were pretty happy with our stay, however I have two major complaints.
1. Our room was located just on top of the piano bar, so we could hear the piano and people singing until very late at night. We complained a couple of times but nothing changed. Make sure you don't get a room just on top of the window.
2. When we made the reservation and ask for the cot, they told us they wouldn't charge us anything extra. However, my husband and I were staying in breakfast + dinner plan, and they charged us breakfast and dinner for our baby, even when she didn't eat anything. She had a place and a high chair always ready in our table, and we always asked for her pot to be warm up, but she never eat anything. We had a long discussion when we were checking out, but at the end we had to pay about 25 euros extra per day.

This hotel got everything: great atmosphere, helpful staff, great location for skiers and most important! Excellent wine & food. We will come be back to enjoy the unique hospitality of this family runed hotel!

although the reviews on this website are positive, one never knows if his personal expectations are met. In this case they were surpassed. From the Bellboy to the owner, all people in this hotel are friendly, greeting and do what they can to have you enjoy your stay. Pleasant surprise the reading room with toys and games for the kids. Breakfast is definetely VERY well varied . Dinner was very good and choices are always well balanced. Salad bar and the table of cheeses are a good plus . The wine list ( very important for me) is well thought of although I would suggest the mngmnt to think of more wines served by glasses ( 2 per type are not enough from my point of view). The room was clean and of good dimensions. The little touch made by the room service for the evening was very nice. One suggestion: choose better soap bars or shower gels for your guests. The position of hotel is good and with parking. We rented skis and since the renting place (with depot) is right across the gondola to Bormio 2000, no need to walk with boots and skis from hotel to Gondola

We arrived in Bormio in the evening and checked about 5 hotels in the area, all of them showing 4 stars. Although some of them asked for the same price for two persons per room, none of them could match the quality and cleanliness found in Baita dei Pini. Some others asked much more money for a lower quality. After I decided to stay here, we were impressed by the amability and the remarcable service. We had the breakfast included which was really excellent and presenting a wide selection of choices. The service in the restaurant was remarcable. After the first night we decided to stay one more night. We had a different room very good too. After one night spent in Cortina di Ampezzo, at an average hotel, we returned in Bormio and stayed again at Baita dei Pini, this time we had the best room in three nights with two bathrooms and a huge balcony. I used the WI-FI to connect to the Internet which worked flawlessy.
We would return anytime with great pleasure to this hotel.
