“ski with a baby”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 April 2011

We have just return from ski in Bormio. Its our favourite resort all over Europe. We have a 5-month old daughter and this time we were seeking perfect accomodation. We have chosen Genzianella hotel and def we wont regret it. It is run by a family and the atmosphere is really good. The ski room is well equipped (boots dryer in every box rules!), the amount of served food is sufficient. The hotel is right to the slope of Stelvio and the view from the apartment is breathtaking. It is design in a bit old fashion style, but concerning surroundings it is acceptable. We were surprised that the stuff speak foreign languages fluently which is rare in Italy. We will come back def.

Room Tip: you can find all the photos within hotel web site.

“Truely Amazing! Everything we wanted and more”

I could not fault the hotel and its staff in anyway. The location was perfect... a short walk off the slope, ski rental shops just next door, supermarket and a quiet friendly bar on the door step. A short walk over the bridge behind the hotel takes you into the beautiful picturesque town.
This hotel has a certain unique charm. The difference from other boutique hotels is the family run feel it has. All of the staff made us feel like we were had been guests at the hotel for years. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We are reluctant to return to the same place twice as there are so many places to discover.. however I feel that we will return to the Genzianella one day.
Thank you Federica, Martha, Nicola, Mama and all of your wonderful staff!!!

“Great services, excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2011

The hotel Genzianella is highly recommendable for both location and services; plus, the atmospheare and the courtesy of the staff were top notch.
We spent 3 days (2 nights) and we enjoyed every second of our stay: the Genzianella is literally in front of the slopes, so I parked the car and I didn't use it anynmore with the only Bagni Vecchi transfer exception (10 mins drive).
The young lady (we guessed she is the owner's daughter) booked for us the visit at the Bagni Vecchi. The next day we avoided the queue paying the skipass directly at the hotel reception and saved some money on the ski rental as hotel guests. The same afternoon we enjoyed the sauna located in the basement.
About the room: we were on the top floor (3rd) under the roof, therefore don't expect large accomodations if you're given a room there: nothing to complain about, though.
About the breakfast: above average.
Should I decide to go back to Bormio, which is lovely, I would stay here again.

“The best a hotel can offer, feels like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2011

It is excellent! Brand new and clean, beautifully decorated, fully equipped, excellent service, tasty food elegantly served, ready-to-help personnel, very good location, nice family running, you really feel like at home!
We stayed in Jan 2011 by a large group of 18 persons (4 families with children, teens and elderly), and are very satisfied with the facilities and - most important - attitude. All our needs very instantly met, and we were always offered to ask for more!
Certainly shall recommend to friends or come back should my trip lay to Bormio again.

“Every time we go there, it's a delightful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2011

We've been going to the hotel for four or five Christmases now, always has been a really relaxing comfortable way to spend a family holiday. Food is excellent, quality original cuisine that has us surprised and interested and not (as is often the case in the mountains) bloated... Federica and the family run it just right, with the rooms impeccably maintained and the atmosphere relaxed and just the right level of informal comfort. We can be ourselves and feel as if we have a home from home at that special time of year.
