Booked via Thompsons. The reps are welcoming. The hotel is one of the first drop off points from the airport if your staying in the Bardolino or Garda area. Weather in June was mainly good. Late 20s and early thirties most days. Watch out for the crazy thunderstorms. We lost power one night albeit only for an hour. Stayed in a suite in augustus part of the building. Good sized and suited really for families. A little old fashioned though. Only 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Bardolino. The resort and its surroundings are relatively quiet but most people come here for some R and R.
Pros:
Good food and dining experience- especially if you eat outside.
Good customer service.
Very clean.
Great breakfast - prosecco at 7am was a nice touch if not a little decadent!
Cons:
Welcome meeting was too long but had nothing to do with the hotel.
Alfresco dining was an option but seemed limited per couple?
Essential experiences:
Have an ice cream at Cristallos, you wont regret it.
Visit the amphitheatre in Verona.
Visit the local wineries - especially Trecolline - a relaxed and fun time. Afternoon drinking at its best!
Get on the lake, via an organised tour, ferry or speedboat whatever your suits you.
Try an Aperol Spritz. See what the fuss is about.
