“This hotel should only be a 3 star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2010

I was traveling alone with my daughter at 13 year.
The hotel its self was quit boring. You need a car for sure, as the hotel is in the middle of no where. You can not see the sea from the hotel as we expected, the sea is about 5 km from there. What you see on the photos is a small bay, and the hotel look much more nice on the photos then it is for real.
There is not much going on in the small towns around at this time at the year, Porto Rotondo and Porto Creco ect., the towns seems to be death, and most shops a closed, strange enough as many of the hotels was full and there was allot of tourists around.
The internet was not working at the lobby in whole period we was there, and when i ask the staff to push for getting it to work, they seems to dont care.
The pool was freezing cold, and there are no pool-bar or service.
Breakf. buffet was the same every morning and they had only white bread and it was very dry. They could not make a long drink in the bar! And it seems to be a problem to order only one glass of wine for dinner, they wanted to serve only a whole bottle.
If you like food and would like to taste some specialitys of the island, then dont take the half board as we did, we had dinner there every evening, it was okay but nothing special.
The hotel was clean but rooms quit small. Beds and especially the pillows was very hard.
My advice, go somewhere else at this time of year ;-) or if you go to Sardinia at this time of the year, book a hotel near a big town.

“Something special in Nord Sardinia!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2008

Wonderful place for the beautiful landscape and the amazing surrounding... We've been impressed by the kindness of the staff and by the most helpful breafing from the Reception we've ever found! They gave us a map with all the indications about the beaches there around and about the many different boat-trips we could do to visit the small islands near there.
The kitchen was excellent and we could choose day bay day if we wanted to spend our halfboard wether at lunch or at dinner.
Night life is only a few minutes by car from the Hotel.
We enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere!

“Lovely little place but people a bit dull!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2008

We are a family of 5 and stayed here early July 2008 for a 2 night break while on holidays in Alghero. Booked the hotel mainly because it had a pool and a room that could take 5 and wanted to see the Costa Smeralda. Booking was extremely efficient and the manager remembered me when we arrived!

The hotel is situated on a road pretty much in the middle of nowhere! The small and upmarket resort of Baia Sardinia is a few km down the road and the extremely posh Porto Cervo about 10km and worth a visit to see the boats alone.

Our room was simple, decorated in a Sardinian style with plenty of character and space. It had a small terrace with a view of the sea. Everything was spotless.

The pool was the best thing about this hotel, kids loved it after having only a beach in Alghero. Very uncrowded with only a few people there at a time.

The lobby/bar area was lovely, again with plenty of character though I would have enjoyed an outdoor bar/restaurant for the evening.

The restaurant was the disappointing part, though the food was quite good. The room was totally indoor with curtains closed at all times. Both at breakfast and dinner there was a buffet which was pretty empty by the time we got to it. By 9.30pm the restaurant was empty as was the lobby....not sure where everyone went but a bit of atmosphere would have been nice.

A few things to note: 1. Yes, the beach does not exist. There is water a few mins walk away from hotel but in no way should be called a beach. 2. Not one person staying at the hotel was English speaking besides us 3. The hotel is probably only a 4 star because of the pool. It's more what I would describe as 3star, though perfectly pleasant.

“ok 3*, no way a 4*!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2007

Had a 2 night stay last week and was somewhat disappointed with the hotel.

Room was ok, but i definately not 4* standard: a bit of mould on bathroom ceiling, cracked mirror in room, wonky toilet seat, tiny telly (and fuzzy reception on it), scuffed walls. Now I know this are common problems but not usually in 4* properties.

Noise a big problem in rooms - can hear the noisy neighbours, and one day there was a very funny smell coming from the area near the tennis courts (sewage?).

Breakfast very basic- we arrived at 9.30 and nothing but croissants and a few rolls left, breakfast was til 10.00am so unsure why with 1/2 hour to go nothing there.

That said of the negatives, the pool was beautiful (although didn't get a chance to swim as weather too cold), and reception staff were very friendly.

“nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2007

This hotel is clean spacious and welcoming. It has free internet in the lobby and staff are very helpful. It is about 5km from baia sardinia, but if you have a car this is not a problem. The rooms are clean, big and have a fridge. They are very noisy due to the tiled floors so if you are at ground level you can hear every little noise from the rooms above. The walls are very thin so there is a lot of echoing. The pool area is brilliant lots of sun beds and the pool has two different depths great for younger children, who are able to swim. The breakfast was lovely with a variety of cereals, cakes and fruit. We did not stay for lunch or evening meals. There are many good restaurants in the town area which are reltively cheap for this area. we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend a visit. Our only downside was the price it think i was a bit pricey for a four star. Iwould state it as a good 3 star
