If you were looking to open a hotel and wanted to visit somewhere to understand how to differentiate yourself from the crowd of medium price hotels and to put clear blue water between you and the budget operators then you would struggle to find a better place to come for an object lesson than this.
From start to finish the service here is first class, highly professional, supremely friendly but without ever being overbearing.
On arrival the owner quickly booked us in and sent us off to the garden with a glass of wine whilst he completed registration.
The room was beautifully done with very interesting lighting, excellent flat screen TV, good bed and lovely bathroom. The whole hotel has been cleverly accessorised to lift it above the norm but without just using the "normal" designer pieces.
Front of house were always friendly and full of great recommendations on restaurants, places to visit, etc.
As others have mentioned the only slight downside is the distance from town which is a good 25 minute walk but there has to be some trade off I suppose.
Alba was great and we will definitely be back.More
