I have travelled all over the world, sleeping in tents, hostels, bamboo huts, guest houses and hotels - all costing far less than the cost to me via the travel agent I used. My six day stay in this hotel was thoroughly depressing and the worst I have ever experienced. I felt sorry for the minimal staff who seemed to be working almost round the clock but having to dart between reception, bar and restaurant. The food was awful and had to be substituted with food from the local supermarket. The "free" bar between 6 and 11 at night (when you could find someone to serve you) only served Grappa, cheap beer, Limoncello and house wine. Yuck! It was almost impossible to get a cup of coffee or tea at any time whilst I was there (coffee machine broken) You could walk from one end to the other of the "swimming" pool so I consider that a paddling pool. You are surrounded by a train line on one side and residential houses on all other sides, with residents overlooking. The rooms are tiny and twin beds pushed together because there is no room to put even a bedside cabinet between them. You have to push the toilet over the bidet to use it and of course no bath. You have to pay extra for airconditioning and when you do it doesn't seem to work. You open the windows to let in air and are awoken at 5.00am by the recycle vehicle (every day), cockrels and people going to work. You can't actually go and sit on the local beach because it is all taken up with sunbeds which I assumed were for other hotel users. Snacks or drinks are not available during the day or before breakfast at 8 o'clock so I am really glad I took my travel kettle having been woken up at 5am every morning. But it was fairly clean!
