Second time in this hotel. I have taken advantage of a special offer, 30 euros/night which is excellent. The hotel is very conveniently located for the Valle dei templi, it's clean, quiet, with some excellent bakeries nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

If this hotel had been graded as a one star rather than a four star hotel it may manage one's expectations better. Horrible location. Busy road. Overlooks MacDonalds. Paint peeling off walls in rooms and on the stairwells. Electronic safe was jammed open - bolts sticking out and nothing would reset it, despite following the instructions. Reported it to reception who said it would be fixed - it never was. Hairdryer didn't work. Minibar fridge was empty and visibly grubby. Shower curtain was filthy. No hospitality trays or anything like that. Not even a glass anywhere, only very flimsy disposable cups. Breakfast was dismal with watered down orange juice and the cheapest of everything. On the good side: bed was comfortable and clean with linen changed daily; dinner was okay and the staff very helpful; it's near a supermarket so you can buy food and beverages that are not available at the hotel. Overall impression is that of a hotel on its last legs barely surviving and without the money or morale to do any better.

The hotel was just ok except for the fact that they did not allow you to turn on their air conditioning in your room until 4pm everyday. While we slept it was uncomfortable and had to hurry out of the room each day to avoid the hot, smelly room. Also they charged a lot for the internet usage.

We stayed at this hotel on a tour with Go Ahead Tours . Although we liked the tour and had a lot of good experiences this was by far the worst hotel. Go Ahead changed the hotel without telling anyone on the tour. We arrived at the hotel expecting to be in another hotel with a pool that was close to the historical center and and we were very hot after a long day touring the Valley of the Temples. The hotel is located on an ugly highway several miles from historic Agrigento and had no pool.We had to pay 40 Euros to take a cab to town for dinner or could have paid the same to go to the beach. We had eaten in a restaurant on the beach and the beaches looked beautiful-real sand not stones. Don't be fooled by the picture of the hotel on the website. It is next to a McDonald's and other ugly stores. That said, the room was clean and the air conditioning was working well. If you are driving and want an inexpensive hotel and just want a clean comfortable room the Kore might be fine. By the way we found the historic center of this town to be a very charming place to stroll around.
