For 44 euros per night we had a good bargain. You get what you paid for. Room was clean but a bit bare - and certainly not as roomy as shown on the (professional) pics! Breakfast was delivered to the room in a basket which was a cute gesture. Location is very central, but it gets a bit grimy down at the gas station which seems to function as a distribution point for fake designer stuff sold by illegal Africans. All together, Agrigento is not much of a city and overly touristy. Staying over is convenient though if you want to visit the Valley of the Temples early in the morning or at night. Otherwise, you'd better off staying in Sciacca, a lovely town approx one hour driving west of Agrigento.

Agrigento is a very touristy place, largely due to it's small and quaint mountainous downtown area and its proximity to the amazing greek ruins of Agrikos. As such, the accommodation there is overpriced, even in the off season. If you're renting a car, you might be better suited to staying out of old city center, as there really isn't that much to see there and it's expensive; see the ruins and move on. Casa Ravanusella is located in this city center area, staffed by the same friendly registration office as a few other nearby B&Bs. Parking is tricky, and your proximity to the registration building will determine whether you get WiFi service or not, we did not. The rooms were clean and adequate, although ours faced out onto the major street circumventing the city center and it was very loud in the morning. Would have rather them knock €5 off the price than have the breakfast, but what can you do?

It started before we even reached Agrigento - text messages and phone calls to arrange meeting at the bus station. being taken to the B&B on arrival and returned by car gratis was such a treat.
We had one of three rooms giving onto a dining kitchen on the first floor of an appartment building, the owners brought breakfast - a very good one - in the evening.
Very convenient situation.
