You can't always get what you want…But if you try sometimes you just might find the perfecto B&B, and you will not feel like a complete unknown tourist like a rolling stone. Yea, sometimes I felt like I had no direction home but hosts, Micha and Diana were always willing to help this rolling stone. Yea, everything that others have said is true, breakfasts were grand, rooms/swimming pool were outstanding(I like to swim)…they even have washcloths (something Italians don’t use or have). Micha and Diana, and Max bend over backwards to make sure you have a great time…and Micha’s wine tours are not to be missed.
But the real star is the region, this is not Rome, Venice or Florence…but in many ways you will be exposed to/experience Italian life/culture that many who have made numerous trips to Italy never experienced. Meet winemaker Domenico Botto in his really short shorts and his dog Kika, go to Acqui Terme where a waitress told me my tip was too much (true story), get up close and personal with the goats that make the wonderful Robiola cheese. And of course eat the wonderful food which many say is the best in Italy (think forestry, think mushrooms) and drink the best wine in the world (my humble opinion).
You can get what you want, go to the Baur B&B.
