“very pleasant relaxing but reviving stay”

I and my husband were in Due Torri in December. The hotel was not full, we supposed it was because of "before Christmas time" when people save money for gifts and have to complete their things at work and studies before holidays rather than spend money and time for trips to thermal resorts. But that was very nice for us. we enjoyed our stay very much. we liked the interior of the hotel with its old original carpets showing that they are old and so many people made their paces on them but that made them more precious and we felt we are the welcome guests, expected to step on them too. Old but steady beautiful furniture in halls and all in one style pictures add to cosiness and comfort of the place. rooms are very neat, the bed is comfortable, the linens are changed every day. There is everything necessary in, but there's no cofee/tea things in a room. Food is really a thing to talk about in this hotel. we enjoyed it very much. There was quite a usual breakfast but all food was very fresh and gorgeous lunch and dinner! very big thanks to the cooks. how they make pasta and fish!!! with their good local wine it was something great! desserts are also delicious.they also have good choice of cheeses and plenty of fresh fruit . but it is recommended that men should wear a jacket for dinner and not because they will treat you less politely or something, just you yourself will feel special and smart in it. and for women it is recommended just to look smart and dressed up. i took a few dresses and i wore them with pleasure at dinners and i had a feeling it was appreciated by the waiters and barman that we looked smart with my husband. it is a resort, it's their tradition to look beautiful in such places in the evenings so people should know and respect that. The staff at the restaurant is very polite. They do their best to make you happy and enjoy your meal. we admired how one person of the restaurant staff served us at meals and how he never was tired of saying thank you and smiling and do everything to make us enjoy our meal. his name was Pierro. we want to thank him for that (if he remembers us Mr and Mrs Bikmullin from Russia) The barman Pablo was also very efficient. everybody of the staff was ready to help at any time you ask something. i also want to say that the cosmetics made of the GB group (their local cosmetics company uses the thermal water from that place) is very good, i tested in on myself and now that it's almost finished i wish i could buy more, but i am afraid one can buy it only in Abano Terme :( . So, ladies, when in Abano terme, try it, it's really worth taking it. And as it was cold in December we went to swim in the outer pool daily because the thermal water is warm and it is evaporating in the outside cold air and it's pleasant to swim in warm water with your head in "a thermal fog" which pleasantly envelopes the face and moisturizes it. all our impressions of this hotel are very positive. everything in this hotel is calm and relaxing. We plan our next stay at this hotel next December again.

“don't forget your jacket and tie if you want to enjoy your dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

Rooms are large and clean, the breakfast buffet is very nice, the swimming pools and treatments are great.
But also some minor points of criticism. Dinner: food okay but nothing special. Menu not available in English. The maître d'hôtel was rather arrogant, and service was poor (maybe because I was not wearing a jacket?). As another reviewer stated "it reminded us of some 'lunch with grannie' rules from 30 years ago". The majority of guests, indeed, seemed over 70 y/o. For most younger West-Europeans (we're "only" mid 50s ;-), a jacket and tie isn't something taken along on holiday. And no, we don't like to swim with a plastic cap either. ;-(
So yes, we will probably go back because of the swimming pools and the treatments and because of the possibility of combining the stay with a visit to Padua and Venice (although it would be appreciated if the hydrajets and pools are accessible in the evening and don't close at 6 and 7 pm resp.). We'll be having dinner outside of the hotel, however - and fortunately there are some good and cozy places around.

Dear Sir,
We have read with interest your engrossing review of our hotel services and taken good notice of the minor, but nevertheless important details which should be improved to offer a service that hasn’t got comparison in our area. The professionalism of our staff could appear rather haughty to a younger clientele, but in this case please take it as an expression of class and of a school which has made the gastronomic field important and at a high level.
According to the change of habits we are also adapting our style to the new events by not requesting the jacket for dinner and having the menu not only in Italian or French but also in German, English and Russian language.
Thanks to these efforts we have gained the esteem of guests, who return periodically and therefore we sincerely hope to welcome you, as stated in your review, to our hotel in the next future.
Assuring you our best attention we remain
Sincerely yours

“A wonderful, wonderful, wonderful place we wish to return again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2010

The hotel is marvelous and turned out to be better than we actually expected. Because of our small child we were looking for a quiet and beautiful place with good food to relax. The possibility to have some thermal and spa procedures was also a good advantage for us.

The hotel location is very good, indeed one of the best in town – in the beginning of the pedestrian area, far away enough from the central highway and main roads. There is a small but very nice and cosy garden near the hotel and an historical thermal park ‘Montirone’ just behind. The air is so fresh, that it feels like you drink it. To understand the difference just come away of the pedestrian area for example to the circle at Piazza Republica. We slept well for 7-8 hours instead of usual 9-10.

Inside the hotel is nicely furnished in Venetian style. Paintings are everywhere on the walls, some of them are of the 19th century.
The room was spacious enough, with high ceiling, clean and well furnished. The maid came every day to clean and change the linen and towels. We really enjoyed the wonderful view at the Euganean Hills.

The Wellness Center meets the highest standards. The hotel is famous for its mud ‘Fango’ and thermal ‘Bagno’. Mud was good to take in the early morning, so that you have time to sleep a while after it before the breakfast.
There is a big swimming pool with thermal water. You can swim inside and outside. We also enjoyed ‘grote’ and kneipping.

The restaurant is a real boutique: nice food, rich wine selection and distinguished atmosphere. Maitre d’hotel was very attentive asking us every day what to prepare for our little daughter (that was really pleasant).

People from reception were very helpful. One day our child felt sick and they did everything to help us with medicine and doctor. We really felt their sincere care about our daughter and that was the most precious thing.
We’d like to say our special thanks to doctor Di Blasio for his valuable advice and time spent on us. We are also very grateful to people working at reception desk (especially Saveria and Marian) who also helped much to save our child from the disease.

We would highly recommend the hotel to those who seeks for a quiet and beautiful place to relax in cozy and hospitable atmosphere.

Rooms large and clean. Food okay but not anything special. Swimming pools fantastic and gymnasium very average. Treatments excellent but too quite and not for the young.

Dear ald59,

We have read with interest your report on your short stay at the Hotel Terme Due Torri, because the opinion of all our guests is precious for us.

The variety of health/spa/beauty treatments available at the Romantic Thermal Spa distinguishes us from other hotels of the world and are good at every age if one wants to take care of body and mind.

We regret not having been able, in your 2-day stay, to impress you with the enormous variety of dishes that our Venetian and Italian cuisine can offer. Our chef is very attentive to the tastes of our clients and he would have cooked something else for you if only he had known you were not fully satisfied.

Thanking you again for your visit, we sincerely hope to welcome you to the Hotel Due Torri for a longer vacation. Grant yourself time and allow us to take care of you at best.

Sincerely Yours
Fam. Borile

“Five Star Luxury from Different Times...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2009

My husband and I stayed for the week-end with another couple. Full-pension, in a Deluxe Panoramic Room. Almost a mini-suiteI. At least twice the size of a standard Italian hotel room. didn't know that you could still get this kind of luxury... Imagine a room in a remodelled castle. Classy moldings on walls and ceilings, "ton-sur-ton" pastel colors, massive and beautiful crystal chandeliers. Clean carpets and marble floors. Lots of antique furnishings and so much beautiful artwork everywhere. Not "goddy" because it's authentic and very tastefully put together. We thought the place was beautiful. Incredibly courteous and forthcoming staff, in all areas of the Hotel/Spa. The best part was the dining-room. Great attention to the food. Very healthy choices, a wide variety of them at every meal. Top quality fruit and vegetables at lunch and dinner. Great care in preparation and presentation. Fully staffed, the whole hierarchy of possible hotel dining room staff. So you must get dressed for lunch and dinner (or you'll really feel out of place). It reminded me of some "lunch with grannie" rules from 30 years ago. It is true, the main clientele was 50 or older. Everyone was kind, educated and our stay was thouroughly delightful. The €40/person/stay Spa card gives access to 3 naturally heated pools, Kneip leg baths, the gym, a steam/sauna room, a blue pool robe, and a white spa robe in the room for each guest. A wide variety of mud, massage and beauty treatments are available for additional (but reasonable) charges. Next time we'll stay for a full week. A wonderful stress-relief oasis, a healthy vacation choice if you suffer from arthritis and pain. Oh yes, and it's right downtown, yet quiet at night since mostly surrounded by pedestrians streets.
