We chose this hotel simply from information on the internet. We phoned the hotel which arranged private transport from Venice and return. All arrangements worked perfectly. On arrival we were upgraded to a room with air conditioning and a balcony at no extra cost. It was agood place to dry our towels and costumes etc. All the hotels are set in their own grounds with plenty of places to sit in the shade.. The only meal we took was breakfast, but what a breakfast! The choice was wide and varied and the six different types of fresh fruit , cut and ready for eating was a particular highlight. Across the road is the bar 'Doug' where we drank wine and ate our evening meal at very reasonable prices. The hotel is not too large with 116 rooms. There are many lifts for those who are unable to climb stairs or unwilling to do so! Each room contains a wall safe the key for which can be requested from reception at no extra charge. Rooms are cleaned every day as are dirty towels if left in the shower. Every guest was invited to an evening of dancing which drew quite acrowd of onlookers.Bus tickets need to be purchased in advance and can be bought from reception, again at very reasonable prices. The hotel is on the main bus route. So Padua can be easily reached and is well worth exploring. Their are two negatives to this hotel. the showers are very small and are only enclosed by a curtain so that it is easily possible to flood the floor and there are no tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. This we mentioned and staff are aware that this would be very popular, but. there is a fridge containing a selection of drinks. Overall we were very satisfied. The English have not discovered this spa town as the family which own it do not advertise in England. We were the only English people there, but rather than proving difficult it was rather refreshing.
