We stayed here in March 2009 and booked a Quick Sleep room. What a great concept! When we first walked into our room, we laughed, it was SO small. But at the same time, it was all we needed. It was clean as a whistle. The bathrooms were great, clean, lockable shower (bathroom was shared). We slept fine there but I know what a past reviewer means about the springy doors slamming shut.
We ate dinner one night there and it was quite yummy and the red wine too.
Breakfast was adequate.
The train stop is only a 2-minute walk up the road and easily accessible.
There is a supermarket down the opposite direction to the train station which is good for stocking up.
Connect Hotel used to be a hospital so reception was a ward desk, the lift is big enough to fit 2 stretchers! It was great, we really enjoyed it here and in Stockholm.
Value for money was good too, for Scandanavia - our Quick Sleep room worked out to be about $70 AUD per night.
Book to go to the icebar in the city, it's fantastic.
