we stayed one night with 7 people - very nice and friendly host, nicely decorated; beautiful garden with well-kept pool, excellent breakfast - we loved this place!!! highly recommended! 10 minutes to go by car to Addo Elefant Park

My wife and I wanted a quiet B & B not too far from The Addo Elephant park and we tumbled on The Good Hope Country House. This proved to be an excellent choice and great value for money. The house at the end of a drive through a citrus plantation is located on a rise with good views over the surrounding area. This farm and B & B has only been recently acquired by Mark and Sandy and they have set about creating a warm and friendly stopover for local and overseas tourists. Whereas most tourists to the area come to visit The Addo Elephant Park ,Sandy wants to attract guests who will stay with them longer and enjoy the quietness and relaxation that they provide around their property. Our suite was immaculate with plenty of room for sitting both within and on the ajacent patio area. Additionally the beautiful garden surrounding the house offered further place for relaxation. Breakfast was very well prepared and presented with the pleasant staff emulating Sandy's own friendliness. If we had had the time we would have stayed there longer.
