“Lovely resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We are just home from RCC-our first visit. The hotel was lovely. We had a very warm welcome and were taken to our 1bed apt just along from reception.I was dissappointed with apartment as it felt very cluttered with too much furniture for the size of the lounge. The high table was built on the floor so unable to move it out of the way,+4 high chairs. There was a big dark wood unit housing an old style TV, a blanket chest , a coffee table and a sofa bed. Can,t imagine staying there with more than 2 people. However the kitchen was well appointed(loved the cava in the fridge! a nice touch) and the balcony had table and 3 chairs + 1 lounger.
I hated the bedroom. The room was again small and was dominated by a 4poster bed with voile drapes hanging from the metal frame. This left very little room to walk around the bed. But the worst part for me was the dressing table inside the wardrobe. This meant I had to shove my hanging clothes to one side just to use the area. There was not a drawer in the room and no shelf other than the "dressing table".Just two little bed side cupboards..
The bathroom was large and well lit with a fab magnifying mirror and a hairdryer and bathrobes.
The restaurant was great. We were b&b and enjoyed our breakfasts.Looks like most people self-catered and why not with such good kitchens and balconies. Evening entertainment was on but not well supported so was a bit sad.
The bus to the beach was good. The pool was very pretty. The sauna was hot!!
Overall we enjoyed our 4 days here. Had it been any longer we would have had to ask to change rooms,if there was one available, but the location of ours was good.We would return but maybe negotiate a better room even if we had to upgrade. There were some beautiful big balconies and terraces so maybe that could be worth a look.

Room Tip: maybe pay more!!

“Amazing Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

We stayed in January 2012 and the hotel was fantastic. It is stunning and has an amazing funky pool with a swim up bar and a spa pool and a childrens play area with a kids club. The staff were so friendly and accomodating and even gave us a baby bouncer for our stay. The hotel is not within walking distance to anywhere but there is a free, courtesy bus to Los Christianos and Costa Adeje until 6pm. We were very impressed and will definitely go back.

“tired resort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

The staff was super. On the other hand the resort needs to be refreshed. We had a 2 bedroom apartment, The kitchen had lots of dishes and glasses, but no preparation bowls.
The air conditioner did not work, when we reported it the staff seemed surprised, if they checked the room they would have known it did not work. A GOLD CROWN resort should not have soap in a despenser in the shower bar soap should be supplied. The shower between the two bedrooms did not work properly and the only angle it would keep was toward the wall, the shower curtain was to small so water went all over the floor. It was nice to get fresh towels every day but the replacement was not consistant sometime we got a full replacement some time not. (face clothes, bath towels) The doors to the terraces could not be opened fully because they hit the floor. The resort was clean just tired, not a gold crown resort.

“Perfect Relaxation Resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Lovely welcome, all of the staff are the most well mannered and helpful in any hotel we've stayed at. The pool is of good size but could be a little warmer. Beautiful surroundings with attention to detail, Asian theme with statues in grounds. Staff also wear Oriental style uniform. We had a one bed apartment with a jacuzzi bath, four poster bed and a roof terrace. Apartments are well equipped with good quality appliances and utensils, TV (with UK channels). Pool towels can be obtained from reception daily.
The courtesy bus was not as frequent as we would have liked, and a taxi to the centre was about 5 Euros.
We hired bikes and would recommend Fred Olsen 10 Euros for 24hrs each (they will deliver/collect from your hotel). We cycled to Del Duque which was about 6km along the prommenade.
Ideal for a relaxing holiday, but if your are full on with activities it would probably be too quiet. The nearest restaurant is La Estancia (French influenced) reported to be the best on the island. Residents of RCC have the option of a special menu 25 Euros for 3 courses or the A la Carte menu. We both had steak and it was delicious. The service was a little slow, which we heard was on other nights too. There is another bar Tree Tops (English) about 15-20 mins walk mostly uphill. The food was reasonable. The mini market on site sells basics, and the fresh baguettes are a must!

Room Tip: All seemed to be in a good location.

“Still as good on a second visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

This is such a lovely resort with a good standard of accommodation and great facilities. And the La Estancia restaurant is excellent. This is our second visit and we were not disappointed. It must be one of the best resorts in the area. The only down is it is so far out of town but with the courtesy bus and taxis or hire car is worth it.
