Rooms were very clean and I had a gorgeous view of the harbour from my room. Breakfast was OK, but for the price you pay there is no reason to complain. It is so centrally located, I was sorry to have left after only two days in Muscat. This is where I will stay if I ever come back. Make sure you ask for a room with a view, I did and they gave me the best room in the house (fourth floor).

I quite like this place, the location is so accessible it is in the heart of Mutrah and just within minutes walk to the Mutrah Souq and just behind the Bait Al-Baranda and the Corniche.

Rate was pretty reasonable as well, the manager gave me a good impression. I arrived in Oman and only booked this hotel on the 1st night not knowing how to plan the remaining of the itinerary. I had a simple conversation with the manager, he asked me to let him know what plans I had and he helped me to propose the route and the sights I wanted to see based on the number of days I wanted to stay in Oman. Kudos to that!

Breakfast was good as well, I let the pictures do the justification.

One issue I had was something strange that happened the next day I woke up. I got up to find my backpack and my slingbag wet. I left them on the ground and the carpet was dry! I dug out all my clothes in my backpack and found them dry luckily (as my backpack was waterproof) but everything inside my slingbag was in a mess. My Lonely Planet was soaked and the cover and the pages sort of disintegrated.

Breakfast is very basic: some orangejuice from a tin, eggs as like you like them (but for a reason I do not know, these egg's do not have a lot of taste), coffee/tea. I wonder if a local breakfast would be much better. The rooms are clean and the staff is ok. I you leave the hotel and turn left (along the sea), you can find a nice restaurant.

The advantage of this place is that it isn't available to book on any website so it may be available when other hotels are fully booked.

Whilst the beds are firm and comfortable, and shower strong (no shower curtain for some bizarre reason), the rooms aren't the cleanest ever, and the aircon really is very noisy. There was a fridge in every room. The single rooms seemed to be bigger than the twin rooms.

The tv in my room didn't work very well, and there was hardly any choice of western satellite channels. Wifi does not seem to have reached this hotel.

Breakfast was as simple and basic as possible, but at an appropriate price.
