Three of us spent 3 nights here on the way to Abu Dhabi. We'd booked a standard room, but as there were three of us stating they suggested a Family room, which (although a little more expensive) turned out to be a great recommendation! The room was on the ground floor with the back of the room opening onto the Gardens and a sea view.The buffet breakfast was very good and kept us going all day.

Highly recommended.

Went here for a meal with our friends from Muscat, scenery beautiful and our meal was too. Staff pleasant and courteous hotel modern and clean, we did not stay here but on entering the hotel wish we had.
We had a good time would definately go back again.

I stayed here for 4 nights in January. The pool area and view of the sea are excellent if you have time to relax on your trip. The food is generally good at the buffet, pool bar, and Italian restaurant. I'd especially recommend the Persian restaurant where I ate twice.

The room I stayed in was dated and in need of a refresh, especially the bathroom. The rooms are also on the small side. While the hotel is well serviced by restaurants at the nearby beach there is no obvious place to pick up drinks and snacks nearby if you are on vacationdon't want to pay £3 for a juice at the hotel.

I suspect that one day this venerable hotel will get bull-dozed, given its age and outstanding location, but in the meantime enjoy this value for money option - a relative term given grossly over priced hotels in Muscat.

IHG have improved the rooms; they are fully functional if somewhat characterless. None of the selection of restaurants and bars stand out but it is the stunning view down the Batinah coast, with plenty of outdoor seating that wins every time for me.
