We stayed at this hotel for two nights in Febuary. The weather was glorious. the easy access to the coastal path makes it is a walkers paradise. Our wecome efficient and friendly. The room very satisfactory. Their were a couple of minor problems (small leak from toilet and the wrong remote for TV but these were dealt with quickly and with the minimum of fuss At dinner we discovered that most of the other guest were golfers which wasn't suprising as the hotel is part of the golf course but this in no way detracted from our stay as everybody was extremly friendly and chatty The food at dinner was hardly haute cuisine but well presented and good value but nothing to shout about, Some very inferior quality scampi was our only real complaint . However breakfast was excellent (grea coffee)
The decor is a little gothic for our taste and little faded in places but the lounge was beautifully cosy with wonderful views. The staff were first class and everyone seemed to be part of one big happy family and obviously enjoyed there jobs. Considering we were on a two night Groupon break I think we had an excellent experience and we would not hesitate to return in the future

Booking for a group of 12 of us for a weekend of scrapbooking was made to feel effortless from the start, and during our stay nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms were comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean, the breakfast menu was one of the best I've seen for a while and the hotel looks impressive inside and out. It is particularly atmospheric in the evening. We enjoyed the fantastic sea views from the dining rooms and extremely comfortable lounge area, and the food was delicious! The pool, sauna and steam room are excellent too. We had a fantastic stay. Can't fault anyrhing (apart from not all bedrooms have sea views!!). Already looking forward to next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We recently stayed at the whitsand bay hotel. The entrance into the hotel was very grand & we were warmly greeted to the hotel.Amazing stained glass window by the stairs finishes the hotels ambiance.

The rooms are very spacious & views across Cornwall amazing.everything you needed was in the room.

The breakfast is perfectly done,lots of choice for all tastes!! The service also was great & nothing was too much trouble.

The lounge is lovely to relax in, the sofas are soft &comfy. Theres lots of books to read,&plenty of games to keep u occupied on a cold wet evening.

My only criticism is that the menu in the evening was the same on both nights.we were a little disappointed as was hoping for a different choice of food on the second night.
Also maybe some bath robes would be a nice extra maybe for use down by the pool as it would be nice to relax on chairs provided.

Apart from those minor things our holiday was very enjoyable & memorable. Portwrinkle is a lovely little gem of a place.
