We had booked over the Christmas period, in to a 5 star hotel a couple of hundred yards up the road from the Two Mills Premier Inn, at a cost of £200.00 per night.
Our stay was nothing short of awful and on Christmas day afternoon we left the 5 star hotel, having no idea where we would stay Christmas night.
We drove a short way and pulled in to the Premier Inn, this would be around 4.30pm, by which time we had not eaten since breakfast at the "5 star" hotel.
We were greeted promptly by a friendly member of staff and we asked if they had a room available, the young man called for the gentleman who was clearly a Manager/Supervisor, who checked their systems and yes thank goodness a room was free.
We then asked if food was available and were told yes, shown to a seat and guided to the Carvery, this was within 5 minutes of arrival, how grateful we were.
The staff were lovely it was late on Christmas day they had been working all day and still had smiles and cheer. We cannot thank them enough, especially the Supervisor/Manager who in our minds should be head hunted by the 5 star hotel, that is if they want to provide excellent Customer Service.

very friendly and helpful staff. rooms cold in nov. 2011 heating poor . good breakfast but a little pricey. very old windows need upgrading to double glazing . cold wind and traffic noise all night even though I was offered another room . same problems.

Comfortable & clean room, no fuss check in. Some noise from the duel carriageway but not enough to be a problem. Stayed one night while attending a wedding so didn't use the pub. Good quality breakfast but a bit pricey at about £8

Nice standard Premier Inn. Great parking facilities. Good pub attached to the hotel with the usual pub menu. Staff friendly especially in the pub. Great service. If you need to eat in the restuarant please make necessary arrangements and book the table in the morning as it can get busy.
There is considerable road noise from the adjoining main A roads and can be iirritating especially if you are inclined to be so.
