Surprisingly nice hotel in the resort town of Mirgorod, a few hours east of Kiev. The bed was comfortable, the room had a full bath with tub, and the furniture was new and tasteful (think Ikea). And the cost was very reasonable, 225 Hgrivna, about $48 US.
The road noise is a bit bothersome, but most people won't mind. And the hotel refuses to supply a drain plug for the tub, explaining that guests would no doubt over-fill the tub, causing water to cascade onto the floor. OK, do what I did: stuff a washcloth in the drain and take a bath.
Breakfast included with the room fee, but you have to order the previous evening, and it's a bit paltry. Oh well, you can walk down the street and have a pastry afterwards. Or go to the spa.
I plan to stay here again if I can return as a tourist instead of an international election observer. Recommended...
