I stayed here the 31 January and 1st February on business at my company's French office which is 5 minutes walk away. I arrived around 10pm on Tuesday evening and was upgraded to a luxurious Junior Suite which was excellent and very comfortable. It was easy to have a snack later on that evening in the bar and breakfast from 730am had lots of space - this morning a later breakfast was busier but the staff coped well juggling the number of residents and their external visitors.

After a late night last evening at the office dinner was seved at 1015pm very quickly and was of good quality with great service.

The hotel is 150 metres from Esplanade de la Defense Paris Metro station and with one change after RER from CDG at Châtelet des Halles it took me 65 minutes for €9.25 after I landed at 20:00.

A taxi this afternoon to Gare Du Nord took 30 minutes and €28 which for Paris is good value.

Overall I would recommend the hotel for business but stay closer to the centre for a family weekend.

Stayed at the Sofitel when visiting Paris with my girlfriend over a long weekend. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. The only problem with this hotel is that it is slightly out of the way. However, there is a metro station nearby it takes around 15 minutes to get into the heart of Paris so not too bad.

We stayed on 27th December until 1st January for my 21st birthday. Our room was nice, clean and spacious and the hotel was decorated for the christmas period. The drinks were rather expensive, 20 euros for a vodka and diet coke. The staff were very friendly and always willing to make recommendations where to visit and eat. The hotel is based very close to the metro station which makes travelling very easy and convenient and the area around the hotel was nice and quiet. Also, the architecture around the La Defense area is impressive. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Paris.

I went in Paris for business in the beginning of January 2012. I book a very good value on a prepaid rate directly with the hotel 2 months ago and I was happy with the choice.
The hotel is a bit out of the way if you want to do many sightseeing’s, because is in LaDefense business district.


Anyway to be honest the location is OK if you do not mind using the Metro – it will take you 7 minutes to reach – George V metro station (just in front of Louis Vuitton) and 8 minutes to Franklin Roosevelt station, so with metro and line 1 you are very fast whenever you want in Paris.

We had originally book a King bed double room, however due to some malfunction in the bathroom (we did not have a hot water) we were upgraded to Junior suite. When we reported the problem with the hot water the reception, the duty manager Benjamin was very fast and solve the problem moving us to nicer room in 10 minutes. That is a good service.

The quality of the food, room service and housekeeping is very good. And you can enjoy very large rooms for Paris +30 sq.m at the price level you cannot get anywhere else.
So staying for business or if you do not mind the metro ride, this is highly recommended hotel. If you do not want to travel by metro, I would suggest to stay somewhere more central, depending what you do in Paris.
