It's a nice island, of course nothing simmiler to El Nido beaches, but still interesting to stay in a private micro island for couple of days. Food is so so, sometimes you can get a fresh grilled fish, but sometimes - calmari with ketchup.
BUT - the service level is worse than terrible. The front desk manager is unpleasant to spaek with, doesn't want to help you at all. For example, we had to ask and ~10 times to remind him to take care of our trip back to Puerto Princessa and as it revealed, he didn't do anything!!! That's why we missed the flight to Cebu and ferry booking and hotel reservations and etc..
Do not recommend to go to this island.

We are from Vietnam, we spent our holidays in Modessa resort from Jan 22-25 and all we can say is WOW!!! This place is not only paradise & amazing, the people around from cook to management are all very accommodating. We've been in so many resorts and this is the only "NATURE" beauty I can picked amongs them. The food from breakfast, lunch & dinner are great & value for money. Oh by the way we've met a dog named George in the Island, he too was very friendly, we will surely miss him. I can't wait for another holiday to visit this paradise!

I went to Modessa during the first week of Dec. and I must say, it was one of the greatest and most gorgeous places I have ever seen. Starting from the boat ride from Roxas to the island, just seeing the island surrounded by the majestic, clear blue water, then finally seeing the white/blue cabins, and the white sand was absolutely breathtaking. The picturesqueness of the island was undoubtedly overwhelming and just completely set the tone for a once in a lifetime vacation.

The weather was incredible when we were there. The staff were beyond friendly, accommodating and courteous. The food was fantastic, especially the coconut shakes! The lodging was basic yet quaint, but at the price of $40 per night, what could we complain about? We had a conversation with the pleasant manager who informed us of their future plans of improvement for the resort, which excited us because we are looking forward to going back next year. My husband and I are from the States and nothing we've seen compares to the beauty of this island. It was pure and utter bliss staying there.

The snorkeling and scuba diving were such an amazing experience especially with all the beautiful, exotic fishes that we saw! It was like an image from the movies! This whole experience was overall, the vacation of a lifetime. The worst part of the entire vacation? The going home part! I honestly cannot wait until next year. Hopefully, they'll have more cabins up so I can bring my family and friends so that they too can experience nature's perfection hidden in Roxas, Palawan.

It was paradise. When you wake up and leave your room you are right on the beach. The water is blue and clean. It's just a great place to stay. All this for a price of a hotel room in the city or even cheaper. AND YOU GET BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER. The only drawback, no AC but for that price I can cope with it.
