we only stayed one night at Villa Exner and wished we had stayed longer. The hotel itself is beautiful with superbly appointed bedrooms. We ate at the hotel and as we were the only guests were served dinner in the library rather than the restaurant. Needless to say, dinner was excellent. Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming.

The absolutely perfect place to stay. It is very peaceful and the standard of cooking exceptional. Our hosts could not have been helpful. The fact Gordon Ramsay and Richard Branson have stayed there indicates the high standards. it si only 30 minuted from Cape Town and represently excellent value for a very high standard of accomodation.

Villa Exner is immaculate and well-furnished, set in a lovely garden, and with a great mountain backdrop. The service and food was excellent - evenings meals are by arrangement. It's quite a small place, so feels homely and uncrowded. The location was surprisingly convenient - very good for the coast, the wine region and the airport, and not bad for Cape Town itself and the Cape. The hosts are very attentive to your travel plans and wellbeing, and really you could not do better.
