Mum and I stayed for 2 nights, but are planning another visit already. Kath and Pete made us feel like friends not just guests, with Kath giving us each a huge hug when we left. The room was spotless and very cosy, with beds so soft and comfortable we did not want to get out of them.
The breakfasts were tasty local products, well cooked by Kath.
Kath gave excellent advise on what to do and see in the area, loaning us books to read about the local Roman archeology.
The B+B is situated in the heart of town. Parking is a couple of minutes away in the Olde Bull car park and they give a free carpark ticket for your stay The Roman baths are at the back of the car park and they were spectacular. All the Roman sites are within a 5 minutes walk, and all are free to visit. Watch out for them on Time Time next Spring, as a Roman city/port was discovered on land next to the ampithetre this summer and Time Team were there to record it on film. Michael Wood, the historian and presenter, stayed at Pendragon House during the dig, whilst he was filming a documentry.
