I have stayed in this hotel once before and in all aspects found it exceptional.

This time however it was a bit of a disappointment as the housekeeping was really bad in the living area of my room. I had misplaced my reading glasses and got down to the floor to look for them under a cabinet about 6inches off the floor. Underneath I found a pill, a calendar and hair band along with thick dust. The lovely shelf holding the microwave was "wash me" thick with dust and I am somewhat baffled that housekeeping was not up to standard at this once lovely hotel. What a shame as it is in a great location.

Management appeared to be very concerned when informed so I will return again,but will be very alert to such lapses in a usually reliable chain of hotels.

A few of our family members recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel & Suites in West Kelowna. Overall the property seemed to be new and the rooms were quite nice and clean with good beds and other amenities. Unfortunately the hide-a-bed in the Junior Suite was the usual you might find elsewhere and not very comfortable. The breakfast room had a nice self serve buffet including a do-it-yourself Belgian waffle station and a friendly attendant. There were a couple of restaurants nearby including a pub with decent food. There is also a small grocery store within a five minute walk. What really made an impression on us was the friendly and helpful service we received from Neil and his staff.

Stayed on 15th nov, one night. Left an unopened magazine from Scotland in plain view on the bed. Emailed them the next day about it. Didn't get any reply from anybody. Not good for return visits and recommending to friends.
Also, when checking out at 8am,waited 10 minutes at front desk for someone to show up left and come back later, waited another 5 minutes for someone to show up.
These two negative experiences give one the impression they are taking customers for granted.

Ended up staying here at the last minute due to bad weather on the highways. Never stayed at a hotel in West Kelowna before, always in Kelowna itself, so picked this hotel for it's brand name and the fact that it is fairly new. Got a deal on the room even though it was last minute.
The pool was perfect for my family, although if you have small children you might think twice before letting them go on the waterslide just because it is really fast. If they have no problem swimming on their own, then go ahead.
Waffle breakfast sounded good, unless you want something other than waffles. There is not much to choose from after that. Oh and you better make sure you get there before 10am, they close the doors at 9:59am whether people are finished or not.
This hotel fit our needs for an impromptu stay.
