Stayed here for three nights in family room. Room needs work done, furniture worn, cables running on the floor, TV was just plain lousy (wouldn't mind this normally, but it was World Cup time). From the toilet there was a direct view to neighbour's kitchen, didnt remember this and went to the toilet drapes open =D

Otherwise it's wonderful place, lounge and dining rooms are very cozy. I had both continental and english breakfast (£5 extra), both were nice. Location is good too. Free wifi and desktop computer for use in lounge.

Stayed here for two nights while on a business trip in Richmond. My room and bathroom were clean but I found the whole experience to be a tad surreal. My room was a long walk and up four flights of stairs from reception so be warned if you have a lot of luggage. Also if you are at the front of the building it faces quite a busy road so bring earplugs.

The "continental" breakfast was very basic, not much more than cereal and bread rolls, you can pay £5 for an English breakfast if you want something more substantial but I didn't see it so I don't know how substantial it might be. The staff weren't great either, the woman who seemed to at reception most frequently was not overly friendly on check-in, my return to the hotel when I asked for my key (apparently I shouldn't have left it in!) or on check-out. There only seemed to be one or two other people working there and they were pretty surly too.

On the plus side the hotel is very well located in Richmond, a very short walk from both the river and the town centre.

Overall I probably wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't a terrible experience or anything! I couldn't have taken anymore than 2 nights though!

We have just spent 4 nights at this hotel, and would certainly stay there again. The location is excellent, right on the riverside in Richmond, and both of our rooms had river views. The rooms were clean and quaint, and the size was fine. There was limited parking, but as the other hotels we have stayed in have had no parking, that was a bonus. Breakfast was excellent. A nice guest lounge with free internet use. Reception staff were helpful. The worst problem at reception were the other guests asking for impossible requests (i.e. would reception please organise train tickets and have them delivered to the hotel?) All in all I would recommend staying here.

I have been staying here on a regular basis since January 2008 and still satisfied with everything. Tthe accommodation offered is good value for money.

There is also a car park and additional off-road parking, both easily accessible.
