Stay was ok.

The food was very reasonable. Bed was comfortable enough & I slept well. Cleanliness could not be faulted.

The staff were polite and courteous. Parking was a bit of a problem. Free wifi with good connection speed.

My only gripe is the place is very dated. Definitely not the best; Best Western I have stayed in. It could do with some investment & upgrading of the bedrooms.

Read the reviews and thought "this isn't going to be good", but how wrong they were.

The room I had was contemporary in style and was what I would expect from a building of this age. It was clean, well stocked with toiletries and a beverage tray, more available from reception.

There were a couple of minor problems with the room but were quickly dealt with and rectified. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

As it was a weekend most people seemed to go into the dining room in the last half hour but breakfast was very good with a large menu to select from and cooked fresh.

This was excellent value, in a central location for Banchory and will stay here again when I visit next time.

We stopped here for a meal on Sunday 24th July 2011. The service was excellent, the food was very good, and the price was very reasonable. Would recommend this for a meal, in fact we will definately come here again when in the area. We did not stay in the hotel so we cannot comment on the rooms but the meal was exceptionally good.
