“Very comfortable, modern and good seaviews”

Stayed here for the weekend in Pedwar the suite with lovely seaviews. The room is very spacious with a really comfortable kingsize bed with good quality bedding. There is a large flat screen tv and a great old leather settee. The bathroom is nice with a roll top bath and lovely toiletries and fluffy towels. It is possible to put your own wine etc in the fridge provided and also the chance to buy from the minibar. The people who run the Llety are lovely very friendly. Breakfast is next door which was recommended but we never made it to breakfast. There is a large seating area downstairs and a scullery which is useful. We ate at the Cellar Bistro just a few doors down which is great quality food with an excellent service, very attentive and not badly priced. The Indian restaurant in town is also good and take own drinks. Overall, the rooms are expensive but as they are really clean and modern it is worth paying for.

Room Tip: Pedwar suite has lovely seaviews

“Relaxing & classy.”

Stayed here approx 6 yrs ago and returned for the w/e last weekend. Remains as relaxing & cool as previously. Last time stayed in a suite on 2nd floor, this time stayed in one on the 1st floor, number 1 I think. Both lovely. On the contrary to a very recent review, we found the same room, very clean & not necessarily tired looking. The rooms are so comfortable and well equipped with the kitchenette, coffee/tea & minibar. Bathrooms are large and well stocked with bathrobes, fluffy towels and slippers. View from the bay window is so peaceful & relaxing...two chairs and a table allow for cosy evenings with a glass of bubbly & nibbles, watching people & the sea. The bed was huge, nice leather sofa in front of a flat screen tv, eclectic furnishings, very contemporary. Some lovely individual pieces of art including the centre lampshade which looked to be made out of plastics ties...fab! Owners very helpful and friendly and will advise & book you restaurants in advance, just contact them by email. As the town is small, the eating places book up quickly. The Seabreeze which is a couple of doors down is well worth a visit, lovely fish restaurant. This is where you take your breakfast which again contrary to a recent review is of a high standard & plentiful. The kippers are lovely as was the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The cellar bistro serves food of a high standard. The shop attached to the B&B is owned & run by the B&B owners. Again some eclectic pieces are for sale. Oh, the toiletries in the bathrooms are delightful and are for sale in the shop. There is also a large sitting room and a scullery which is well equipped with random kitchen stuff and picnic necessaries. There is also a selection of vinyl Lp's which can be played and I think there are some dvd's to borrow. As mentioned by other reviews, you are given a parking permit for the large car park just over the road...so no charges. I would definately recommend llety bodfor for a relaxing, cool break where you can either totally veg out or walk/visit any of the nearby places & take in the beautiful vistas.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room. The 1st floor ones are ideal due to the large bay windows with seats.

“Plush suite with fantastic views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

The location couldn't have been better, just yards from the beach, and our room (number 3) had great views over the Estuary. The first nice touch was that we received a carpark pass so we wouldn''t have to pay for parking. Gareth welcomed us warmly and showed us to our wonderful suite with a small kitchen. The first night we sat on chairs looking out over the wonderful view sipping wine. The town is superb for eating, drinking and walking. We would stay again

Room Tip: Choose the more expensive suites so you benefit more from the views and luxary

“Great Location!”

we stayed for a couple of nights for my wifes birthday, i'll get the negatives out of the way first. we had a suite on the first floor, nice room, great view(note that there is a car park between you and the sea)though the addition of a fire door to the room did make us feel exposed.the bathroom while spacious was starting to look a bit tired, chipped toilet seat, mould showing in the shower. houskeeping seem to have taken the day off, cobwebs hanging down the wall, thick dust on fittings etc, and even an old pair of ladies knickers in the cupboard, these weren't removed even after a specific request! breakfast at the nearby sea breeze was ok, the cooked breakfast was quite a meagre affair with cheap ingredients (in my opinion) on the plus side, you could have as much toast & coffee as you wanted, so no excuse for being hungry.
sorry about the above, i'm not normally one to be critical, just thought i would tell it as it was.
the good bits!!!!
Gareth the owner was extremelly friendly and helpful (a gift for my wife left in room by owners was a nice touch!), making you feel very welcome. the room was large, as was the bed which provided a good nights sleep. the table and chairs in the bay made a great place to share a drink & nibbles while watching the world go by.
the village itself is a nice place to while away a few hours, bit limited in the restaurant department, but some nice pubs where you felt welcome, and a very nice deli/coffee shop. the beach provides plenty of space for walking or whatever floats your boat!

conclusion: although i may seem to have lots of issues, they were all pretty minor, and didn't spoil the stay, we did have a very good (if all too brief) few days break.

“Cool and quirky”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

Stayed here just for one night - we're local so it was worth it for just the one night.

Nice big rooms, well decorated, with contemporary interior design. We had a room with a fab bathroom - roll top bath with separate shower. There was a kitchenette in the rooom but you couldn't really do much with it somehow! There was a big telly and comfy sofa in the room as well, so plenty os space to chill out if you didn't want to go outside. Magazines etc were provided as well. The only downside was a broken downpipe or something outside our window and it rained heavily all night - the rain dropped on the windowsill and was really noisy, considering it's a really quiet hotel!

The downstairs lounge is an interesting place to relax / read the paper/have a coffee/glass of wine but I don't think it would suit everyone. If you don't like socialising with other people while you're away then you might not enjoy it.

We had a fab breakfast in the restaurant two doors down. It was lovely, hot and not greasy at all, with friendly service.

Worth a visit and very different to your usual seaside hotel! Very cool and quircky and would suit laid-back people who appreciate modern and contemporary living spaces.
