I wrote my last review on the Craigwell Guest House in Morecambe a year or so ago and I have continued to use it on my business visits ever since. I travel across the UK all the time - every week - and although I could use fancy hotels on my budget, I choose to use places like the Craigwell.
My recent visit , I experienced the usual friendly but professional welcome, the room was charming, stayed in it before- with stunning picture postcard views across the bay. Lots of great care touches, mineral water, fruit juices, healthy snacks, decent freeview lcd tv, soft fluffy towels, downstairs lounge, good breakfast selection - quality and well cooked on a kind of submarine ordering system (you will understand if you stay).
Doorstep parking, or at worst a car park at the rear.
Fantastic new stair carpet. (See my last review).
I do not take my cat on business trips, but if I did, he would be welcome at The Craigwell a would your well behaved dog.
This is how guest houses should be run and their varied awards show that.
