“A cosy and peaceful escape”

The log cabins are comfortable, furnished to a high standard and set in a quiet location within Dalby Forest. Lots of walks from the door and the Forestry Commission visitors centre is a very short walk. It is in a good location for visiting Whitby. We stayed in November 2010 and were lucky enough to have heavy snow during our stay which turned the whole area in to a real winter wonderland, and as we didn't need to get the car out we could enjoy the woodland walks and make good use of the wood burning stove!! Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay if you want to get away from it all (there is no mobile phone signal which is an attraction in itself!).

“Fab Forest Experience”

Lovely peaceful location a couple of minutes drive from the entrance to Dalby Forest. Beech Lodge was larger than expected with two large bedrooms and ensuites. Lots of natural daylight from the large living room windows and sufficiently equipment for self catering. Great value for money and ideally located for visiting Whitby, Scarborough, Eden Camp and the Ryevale Folk Museum.

An excellent place to stay in the heart of Dalby Forest., but near the local attractions of Thornton le Dale, Scarborough, Whitby and the north east coast,and The North York Moors Railway. The lodges are an ideal for walkers cyclists and tourists in general. They have been built to a very high spec by the owners and provide real value for money. Very cosy with a wood burning stove to supplement the central heating, the lodges are ideal for all year round holidays. Suitable for people of all ages, we took our two year old grand-daughter it was ideal for her because the accommodation is on one level. and the beautiful wooden floors are nice and warm for playing on!
